After a lot of tinkering this lot will do til TLT

    HOK - Koro
    FRF - Haas, Knight
    2RF - Taumalolo, Fifita, Williams
    HLF - Moses, Wakeham
    CTR - Staggs, Watkins
    WFB - Papenhuizen, Brimson, Aekins
INT - Carrigan, Brailey, Mann, Luai, Walters, Keppie, Musgrove, Magoulias
    9k left

Lolo down to Luciano and upgrade a half and a centre may be on the cards though.

Yeah, it’s school kid shit.  We’ve been looking at it mate. One of the 4 or 5 doing it won’t be back as you’ve probably seen tonight. Whilst he volunteered to go, the others won’t get the choice if it continues.

Seen about a dozen posts having a shot at him when I read somewhere that the baiting was just as bad as his retorts. Yes, he’s a personal mate of mine and plenty of other posters on FB. Lots of sour grapes from what I’m seeing.

Is it jealousy? Seems pretty childish to me. How about you concentrate on your ‘fantasy’ and follow your own advice.

    Just saying.

    Now, about TLT.

Waste of time reading lads but here we go

Brisbane coach Anthony Seibold will pull a selection shock that leaves young gun Jamayne Isaako on the outer.

And the Roosters are calling on a backrower to fill the hole left by Latrell Mitchell at centre.

Here’s the Round 1 predicted teams and tips.

    THURSDAY

Parramatta Eels v Canterbury Bulldogs at Bankwest Stadium (8.05pm)

Predicted Eels team: 1. Clint Gutherson 2. Maika Sivo 3. Michael Jennings 4. Waqa Blake 5. Blake Ferguson 6. Dylan Brown 7. Mitchell Moses 8. Reagan Campbell-Gillard 9. Reed Mahoney 10. Junior Paulo 11. Shaun Lane 12. Ryan Matterson 13. Nathan Brown 14. Brad Takairangi 15. Marata Niukore 16. Kane Evans 17. Daniel Alvaro

    Tips:

Predicted Bulldogs team: 1. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak 2. Nick Meaney 3. Will Hopoate 4. Reimis Smith 5. Jayden Okunbor 6. Jack Cogger 7. Lachlan Lewis 8. Aiden Tolman 9. Jeremy Marshall-King 10. Dylan Napa 11. Corey Harawira-Naera 12. Josh Jackson 13. Adam Elliott 14. Sione Katoa 15. Joe Stimson 16. Ofahiki Ogden 17. Renouf To’omaga

Tips: The Daily Telegraph is reporting Brandon Wakeham will beat Jack Cogger to the five-eighth spot. Sione Katoa and Jeremy Marshall-King are in a battle for the starting No.9 spot, but Kerrod Holland has also been training to fill the role during pre-season.

    FRIDAY

Canberra Raiders v Gold Coast Titans at GIO Stadium (6pm)

Predicted Raiders team: 1. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad 2. Nick Cotric 3. Jarrod Croker 4. Curtis Scott 5. Bailey Simonsson 6. Jack Wighton 7. George Williams 8. Sia Soliola 9. Josh Hodgson 10. Josh Papalii 11. Corey Horsburgh 12. Elliott Whitehead 13. Joe Tapine 14. Siliva Havili 15. Luke Bateman 16. Dunamis Lui 17. Emre Guler

Tips: Curtis Scott has been cleared by the NRL to play. John Bateman will miss the start of the season with a shoulder injury, pushing Corey Horsburgh to right backrow.

Predicted Titans team: 1. AJ Brimson 2. Anthony Don 3. Brian Kelly 4. Kallum Watkins 5. Phillip Sami 6. Tyrone Roberts 7. Ashley Taylor 8. Moeaki Fotuaika 9. Nathan Peats 10. Jarrod Wallace 11. Kevin Proctor 12. Bryce Cartwright 13. Jai Arrow 14. Tyrone Peachey 15. Shannon Boyd 16. Sam Lisone 17. Sam Stone

Tips: Dale Copley is a chance of being picked in the side and would Anthony Don or Kallum Watkins out. Tyrone Peachey is expected to start on the bench despite speculation he has been training in the halves.

North Queensland Cowboys v Brisbane Broncos at Queensland Country Bank Stadium (8.05pm)

Predicted Cowboys team: 1. Valentine Holmes 2. Kyle Feldt 3. Esan Marsters 4. Tom Opacic 5. Justin O’Neill 6. Jake Clifford 7. Michael Morgan 8. Jordan McLean 9. Jake Granville 10. John Asiata 11. Gavin Cooper 12. Coen Hess 13. Jason Taumalolo 14. Reece Robson 15. Corey Jensen 16. Shane Wright 17. Francis Molo

Tips: Jake Clifford and Scott Drinkwater remain in a race to the No.6 jumper and both have impressed in pre-season. Young gun Reece Robson could be called in to start at hooker, but Jake Granville has a lot more NRL experience and may be favoured because of it. Michael Morgan raved about young forward Tom Gilbert when speaking to foxsports.com.au a few weeks ago and he will feature at some point this season.

Predicted Broncos team: 1. Jack Bird 2. Corey Oates 3. Kotoni Staggs 4. Darius Boyd 5. Jesse Arthars 6. Anthony Milford 7. Brodie Croft 8. Tevita Pangai Jnr 9. Jake Turpin 10. Payne Haas 11. Alex Glenn 12. David Fifita 13. Patrick Carrigan 14. Andrew McCullough 15. Rhys Kennedy 16. Thomas Flegler 17. Jamayne Isaako

Tips: In an unexpected move, Broncos coach Anthony Seibold will start Jesse Arthars on the wing and put Jamayne Isaako on the bench, despite also having Andrew McCullough on the pine. It leaves him with only two forwards on the bench. Alex Glenn (hamstring) is in doubt for the opener.

    SATURDAY

Newcastle Knights v Warriors at McDonald Jones Stadium (3pm)

Predicted Knights team: 1. Kalyn Ponga 2. Edrick Lee 3. Gehemat Shibasaki 4. Tautau Moga 5. Hymel Hunt 6. Kurt Mann 7. Mitchell Pearce 8. David Klemmer 9. Jayden Brailey 10. Daniel Saifiti 11. Lachlan Fitzgibbon 12. Mitchell Barnett 13. Tim Glasby 14. Connor Watson 15. Aidan Guerra 16. Herman Ese’ese 17. Josh King

Tips: Kurt Mann will start the year at five-eighth, although Tex Hoy has been promoted to the top squad and is gunning for an NRL debut.

Predicted Warriors team: 1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck 2. Patrick Herbert 3. David Fusitu’a 4. Peta Hiku 5. Ken Maumalo 6. Chanel Harris-Tavita 7. Blake Green 8. Agnatius Paasi 9. Wayde Egan 10. Leeson Ah Mau 11. Isaiah Papali’i 12. Tohu Harris 13. Lachlan Burr 14. Kodi Nikorima 15. Leivaha Pulu 16. Josh Curran 17. Adam Blair

Tips: Kodi Nikorima and Chanel Harris-Tavita are fighting it out for the halves spot next to Blake Green.

South Sydney Rabbitohs v Cronulla Sharks at ANZ Stadium (5.30pm)

Predicted Rabbitohs team: 1. Latrell Mitchell 2. Campbell Graham 3. Braidon Burns 4. James Roberts 5. Dane Gagai 6. Cody Walker 7. Adam Reynolds 8. Tevita Tatola 9. Damien Cook 10. Thomas Burgess 11. Ethan Lowe 12. Cameron Murray 13. Liam Knight 14. Keaon Kolomatangi 15. Jaydn Su’A 16. Mark Nicholls 17. Bryson Goodwin

Tips: Bryson Goodwin has looked impressive in pre-season and we’re tipping him to steal a bench spot. Keaon Kolomatangi has big raps on him and will debut.

Predicted Sharks team: 1. Josh Morris 2. Sione Katoa 3. Jesse Ramien 4. Bronson Xerri 5. Ronaldo Mulitalo 6. Shaun Johnson 7. Chad Townsend 8. Andrew Fifita 9. Blayke Brailey 10. Aaron Woods 11. Briton Nikora 12. Wade Graham 13. Jack Williams 14. Jayson Bukuya 15. Braden Hamlin-Uele 16. Billy Magoulias 17. Connor Tracey

Tips: Matt Moylan has suffered a calf injury and will miss the start of the season. It leaves veteran centre Josh Morris to fill in at fullback. Josh Dugan could also do the role.

Absolutely. A common theme reminded to me weekly when I hear the lads on the fantasy podcasts talk absolute shite about players like Xavier Coates (and worse)

I am kind of looking forward to seeing everyone freak out after the teamlists come out. I will probably be doing the same as well admittedly.

There might be a bit less pressure on me this year as most of my friends and workmates aren't doing Fantasy for whatever reason this year. I would always freak out the weeks I was coming up against guys I know in real life and be influenced into making shitty trades so I could score well that week, so there'll be less of that.

Jake Friend or Api Koroisau as HOK for the 17?

Is Friend's starting position really under threat from Verrills? The extra cash from going with Koroisau could come in handy later.

Friend at 9% ownership, Koro at 23% - does that answer my question?

Both are a must if not playing a gun imo. If starting a Cook or Smith and one has to give, than its Friend for me. Prefer Koro for value.

Funny timing for my comment about “nah” to Friend Stoned

There's a fair few people on this site who are unconvinced on Jake Friend

Obviously we'll know for sure in a day and a bit, but those predicted lineups above seem OK to me, at least for starting 13s. Bench makeup will surely throw up a few surprises. A lot of the queries are around injury doubts as much as anything else where at this point even the coach might not know for sure

I agree though, every team draft I've done has both Koro and Friend, but if I had to keep just one it would be Koro.
