I don't like off the bench mate with a hooker, with Api there i can't trust him! Lichaa was starting and had minutes locked in, there was little risk there

Well that is true and where does Barba play this year. He is priced at $170k mark so if he gets solid game time he could be great. Also if he stays away from FB makes Valentine Holmes interesting.

My team is alright, although I have 5 NPR positions that aren't filled yet. 3 of them are 2RF.

    How is this looking guys?

Thought about Maloney over Mullen. My 2RF's are insanely light and I could potentially bring in Sam Burgess for Rochow if I drop Hurrell to an NPR.

    Right first wack...

    Segeyaro, J. Friend
    Graham, Matulino, Cooper, Nuff
Surgess, Whitehead, Tapine, Carter, Henry, Nuff
    DCE, Hasting, Taylor, Nuff
    Lawrence, Lafai, Auva'a, Nuff
    Tedesco, Mansour, Gutherson, Nuff, Nuff

would likely feel better dropping Lawrence/Lafai, start Auva'a or drop Gutherson into CTR and start a teamlist WFB...use that cash to upgrade Whitehead to Wade Graham/Matt Gillett

agree with the dropping one of your CTRs to make cash for a 2RF upgrade...mate

Just re-looked at mine, dropping super Ted for GI looks like the logical thing to do gives me $100,000 to upgrade elsehwere and lets me keep Lawrence in the CTR spot to solidfy it if Lafai doesn't fire early

Yeah that is fair enough, but he seems like the only cheap Hooker option.

decent mate personally i like to start season with 1 gun hooker and 1 solid 35-40 point hooker...not sure Parcell gets near that unless korisau gets injured! Love that FR think JTurbo will sneak into a fair few sides to star the year

Think you can get better value that Taumalolo because i can't see his increasing his avg that much, think Wade will be a top pick this year as well!

Mbye i think has the potential to explode fantasy wise this year, will he be doing most of the kicking out of hand?

nice WFB as well Gordon, Fergo and Holmes all have a big chance to break into the elite tier, personally think all 3 are risks thought so would like to see at least 1 GUN like Ted, GI, Bmoz, RTS in there

What is your reasoning for Jake Friend, PoD over McCullough/Peats. (Not saying they are necessarily better than him as I rate Friend highly.)

Matulino I am on the fence about him, I do like him. I love Cooper he is a solid 50-65 point player for the most part. I think blokes like Woods and Gurgess have bigger upsides. (Woods does play Origin so I can see why you didn't go with him.)

I totally didn't think of Ben Henry, if he can get solid minutes. The same will apply for Carter and they could be great pick ups if the prices stay accurate.

Very, very light in the HLF's especially if Hastings/Taylor don't fire as intended.

Lawrence I do really like the idea of this season but will he be getting 80 minutes or closer to 60 minutes?

I feel like your WFB/CTR is light considering you have 3 Nuffies and that doesn't include Gutherson or Auv'a. Which I mean if it works out for you is great, if it doesn't it could be a problem area the entire season.

Regarding dropping Lafai/Lawrence, in doing so you would be opening up another Nuffie into your WFB/CTR's which I am not a fan off that much.

Matt Gillett is a reasonably solid scorer with high potential, but he can be too inconsistent and with Josh McGuire coming back that could push Thaiday to play in the 2RF more and potentially start. Which would push Gillett to the bench.

Wade Graham again somewhat inconsistent, but my concern would be his minutes. Will he continue getting 80 minutes. The Sharks have Gallen/Heighington/Graham/Paulo/JSF/Bukuya/Lewis and the man, the myth, the legend Sam Tagataese all capable of playing the Second Row.

Agree mate, it will change a few times a day haha!
reasoning being the light Halfs is i have always started with 1 Gun and one flyer...Bhunt the year he starting playing full time, same with DCE at his rookie price and Arey his rookie year...even if hastings only goes for 35 i will take that to start the season

As Welshy said you want to be starting with a strong Hooker pairing, but I understand why you might not choose that. As FPM said if Parcell only comes on for 20 minute stints and doesn't rack up the points he might not make much if any cash.

Solid FRF, though I am not entirely sold on J. Turbo like everyone else here is.

Again as Welshy said there is better value over Taumalolo. He like a few guys can be an inconsistent scorer and wont have much room to improve with the Cowboys pack remaining much the same. I would consider investing in either a solid gun (Upgrade cost would be around $100k) or look for some value in the Mid-Tier Price range, particularly in the Newcastle pack. Do you think Joel Edwards will get much game time in the stacked 2RF of the Raiders? Fensom/Whitehead/Papalii/Soliola should take up all the minutes you have to think.

MBye is certainly a risk. When playing with Reynolds starting, Reynolds did do the majority of the kicking. Which doesn't help Mbye consistency wise, however he should still score nicely. The only issue is that there are other guys in that price range Mullen/Maloney/Foran who could do just as good if not better than Mbye. (With that said Mbye is around $40k cheaper.) Oh and you should be warned that when raining and the field is slippery Mbye has scored below 10 points. So if there is a forecast for rain you should probably bench him.

I have to love your WFB as it is very similar to mine. I do love Holmes as well, the only concerning factor is what are the Sharks going to do with Barba?

Well, I did say I was going to change the team 30 times and I changed it even between posting it and Welshy replying.

Some good advice there, thanks. Taumalolo might be one of those players where you see he's got so much potential to be destructive that there's no ceiling to his points (but there clearly is). He's still so young though he does have potential to increase minutes & could be a POD. Don't know if he'll be in my team come round one but he's on the long list.

Joel Edwards moved to Wests mate and he's pretty sure to be on their 17.

There's a RLW article where Barrett suggests Parcell will be hooker.

That will certainly make him very popular.

How is foran's kicking game? I'm trying work out which mid priced half will do the majority of kicking for their team. Not convinced with maloney ( Townsend did a lot of kicking at the warriors), m'bye (Reynolds prob do a fair bit), Mullen possibly would be. But yeah I don't know how well Foran kicks vs Corey Norman?
