Conservative averages and whether they can be considered a keeper.

Option A - 110 points and 2 keepers so will help to conserve trades
Option B - 100 points and just the one keeper unless your playing SMat at CTR then it’s 2
Option C - 95-105 and just the one keeper due to Avos iffy JS

If you have two functioning CTRs I’d look at option A as it gets you points and saves you trades
    Thank you!
I currently have Best, Burns and Latrell so I'm not in desperate need for centres.
I am in need of halves however since I only have JMK and Fogarty who are both probably not keepers for now at least.
What are your thoughts of getting Pearce instead of McCullough and will Pearce be able to average around 55?

If you can swing Pearce and Mofo then I’d be all over that personally.

A lot of people seem to be pining for a lot of the big guns but I just don’t see how the funds are going to be generated for those guys without burning through trades. Sure you could probably get them and have 0 trades for injuries. Or you can be selective and get guys at a good price and then have 4 or 5 trades for injuries.

For instance I can imagine a lot are after Cook, Cleary, Lolo, Teddy.
Whereas I’d be content with Macca, Pearce, JTurbo and RTS and save a million bucks. Obviously that’s an exaggeration and you can splurge in some places but it’s just gonna be hard to get the money together. That’s how I see the season anyway

Happy for some of the seasoned guns to correct me

    Teddy Ponga Pap

    Grant JTB Rudolf Niu
    Hammer Carrigan Paix Magoulias

Thoughts on these trades? I know one of Magoulias or Paix needs to go to a cow but I could look at moving one of them on next week.

I know I’m not gonna get the team of full keepers or great depth that some will get on here but I’ve just had to many dud cows so that’s how it’ll be.

MTB seems to think with Isaako being dropped too that Niu has solid enough JS for now so I guess it’s worth the gamble.

I'd be picking Jurbo over Murray, having guarantee of 80 mins at lock would be better than potential attacking stats for me

You could also loop Niu/Hammer with Magoulias but you'd have to be able to login between games quickly as Cowboys game and Broncos game happen consecutively (probably 20 min break in between)

I'd be interested to see Jurbo scoring with / without Turbo. Would expect without that combination it would be lower without his brother.

Herbie kicked last week when Isaako was in the bin.

By my maths, last season Jake played 11 games without Tom, averaging 55.9 in 59 minutes. In 12 games playing with Tom he averaged 53.25 in 54 minutes.

Doesn't even matter, you gotta score some tries to have a conversion

In addition attacking stats aren't massively different:

    Without (11 games over 2019) - 3 TA, 2 LBA, 1 try
    With (18 games over 2019 & 2020) - 1 TA, 1 LBA, 1 try, 1 LB

Having slept on it,  I've full circle back to cow and gun where i should have been all along.  Talau and Herbie, Tesi next week,  will allow DCE and Tedesco.

What option do you guys reckon?

Option A: Twal to Fotuaika, Katoa to Aloiai. Should hopefully have enough cash (unless Teddy plays and breaks his BE) to go Papy to Teddy, Crichton to Niu next week.

Option B: Hold Twal, Katoa to gun 2rf (thinking Matterson), Williame to Niu, forget Teddy for the time being.

Tough one. Think I'd rather have Twal and Matterson , Pappy serviceable, saves a trade on Twal, if you can manage without him.

I was going to go with the half you chose. This new strategy doesn't help me lol

Herbie kicked goals last season (and season before in limited games) in Q CUP.

I think he strikes them "ok", 75% record in Q CUP.

I mean, just like Damien Cook was a beach sprinter, Farnworth was signed to the Man Utd junior academy (or something like that). Probably has a natural boot on him

Good point.  Not sure but it may have been later in the game from memory so Luke might have indeed been off.
