There are no rumours of Fogarty being dropped that carry any weight.

Reading over this thread it looks like the verdict is Talau over Averillo

I cant decide to bring in Over Cook, Ponga or DCE.

I want Cook but he is least needed for team balance.

Leaning towards DCE has averaged 60 with no attacking input but worried kick meters will reduce with Croker at 6.

Mofo press conference - says his knee swelled up after the game last week, says "I gotta monitor through out this week and hopefully it will be good by game day"

Sounds like he'll be all good.

If you can swing Pearce and Mofo then I’d be all over that personally.

A lot of people seem to be pining for a lot of the big guns but I just don’t see how the funds are going to be generated for those guys without burning through trades. Sure you could probably get them and have 0 trades for injuries. Or you can be selective and get guys at a good price and then have 4 or 5 trades for injuries.

For instance I can imagine a lot are after Cook, Cleary, Lolo, Teddy.
Whereas I’d be content with Macca, Pearce, JTurbo and RTS and save a million bucks. Obviously that’s an exaggeration and you can splurge in some places but it’s just gonna be hard to get the money together. That’s how I see the season anyway

Happy for some of the seasoned guns to correct me

I'm on the same path as this. I'm resigned to the fact I'm going to miss McInnes, Smith, Moses, one of Teddy/Ponga, only be able to get one of Bateman/Matterson/Yeo/Crichton/JTurbo. My priority is to build the Haas fund because even though I feel he is over valued, he is still so far ahead of FRF2 that he is a must

Thanks. I've figured out my trades that don't commit to too early locked trades and hold and assess Katoa

Paix and Clark OUT same game KO

Fogarty and Averillo/Talau IN leaning Averillo as watching highlights I think he could burn past BJ

    atm I'm looking at:
    Turbo out - Ponga in
Twal out - Talau in (but also weighing up Averillo & Niu but have them ranked in that order)

leaves 315k bank to strengthen my 17th man next week & a cow upgrade to a good 18th man.

The only thing that worries me about Talau is his hamstring issues which could see me go Averillo.

Tyrone May hanging around in that 19 is disconcerting.

He wont come in to the final 17. In Ivan Clearys press conference yesterday he didn't sound confident on May playing. Said he needs to get some scrimmages in

I'm heading in a similar direction. Cut price potential keepers, even if their scores are a bit lower are gonna be the go for me.
I can't justify making 3 or 4 trades to build the funds for and trade in Teddy or a McInnes.

Squad depth and cut-price potential keepers. I will be holding Katoa and will not be completely unhappy if he ends up in my final 17, especially if he keeps averaging 50.

That could mean most people will be wanting to trade out Luai next week. Probably the right time to do it anyway. Will leave a lot of people without a backup half though.

Have the frightening prospect of having both CTRs playing in last game of the round. Not much worse than that especially if I need a semi decent score to save my round Shocked Shocked

There is a little concern there, sure, just saying there's nothing credible at the moment to suggest Fogarty would lose his spot.

Think Taylor would be on the chopping block but again that's just my opinion.

I should* have a few trades left for those luxury type upgrades but I will only be able to make 1-2 at best of those; Drinkwater>Ponga, Papy>Teddy, Friend>McInnes, Koroisau/Grant>Smith, Leilua>Bateman

Is there a general consensus that May is going to partner Cleary in the halves long term over Luai?

I think I recall a pre season interview with Cleary (i'm talking way back in January or something) where he talked about using May as a bench utility this season*.
