No mate. Cleary and Luai have been playing together coming through the junior ranks and Ivan realises that they will be the halves pairing. May isn't really a threat at all to be fair, best he will do is get the number 14 jumper. Penrith are going well at the moment and Luai complements Cleary the best and allows him to play his game.

I think I recall a pre season interview with Cleary (i'm talking way back in January or something) where he talked about using May as a bench utility this season.

Gus talked heavily about this on his podcast from his time at the Panthers. The long term plan has always been Cleary and Luai. They have played together all through juniors and have complementary skills.

That's good, need Luai to pull out a decent score tonight.

Put it this way, Matt Burton who killed it a few weeks ago couldn't force his way into starting over Luai
So I don't see May walking into the starting lineup anytime soon, especially given the Panthers overall form

The smart decision is to take Talau in over Niu isn't it?

Talau BE 3 and set to make money now.

Niu BE 44 and not sure how he will go. Can wait a week... even two to see if any changes will be made.

I just need to keep telling myself I am making the right decision, but there is this voice in the back of my head saying "Niu is going to kill it, become Broncos long term FB, and average 45+". Evil or Very Mad

Plus MG (Panthers Immortal) would probably cause a shit storm in the club if May played.

It's only between Averillo and Talau for me. We don't even know if Niu starts before final team list and I wouldn't be shocked if Titans won

Pros and Cons on the following players?

    Joliffe
    McIntyre
    Faamausili
    Dunn

Looking to hold Twal, but that means a short-term FRF or 2RF stopgap/backup under 400k.

Isaako dropping out... pretty sure he starts. Only issue is if they lose again then Seibs is getting pressure from ex-NRL greats....Kimmorley.... to chuck Milford at fullback.

I for one do not think Milford has what it takes to be a fullback.

I don't understand why people keep wanting Milford to fullback. He doesn't want to play there. If he's not getting involved at 6 he's only going to be less involved at fullback, where part of the job is covering more ground and organising the defensive line. It's going to exacerbate the problem.

He's either 6 or dropped, imo.

I wouldn't mind if they swapped Milford and Croft.
