I'd prefer a teddy or ponga in the 17 but the centres and WFB are good places to try a boom bust player like Addo-Carr who is due for a boom. Tried it with Val Hoolmes last time he was here and he did it - it was so nice.

I know he's pricier than Niu and the like, but I like that he's good for a try, in a good team and has already lost considerable value.

I do remember his run last year mate, he did go on a big run.

I remember the Holmes one too, he was like $320K and ended up at $700K by the end of the year and was one of the most expensive WFB's.

All the off field stuff with JAC I think got to him too so once he's over all that he indeed could get back into some form and go on a run.

Still on the fence about holding Twal.

Worth it given he's one of the best scorers available as a DPP?

Or better off trading given the chance of him not going back to 80 straight away when he's back and dropping cash?

Some cheaper alternatives available and $ can be used to strengthen team elsewhere. Some frf/2rf options at a cheaper point being:

Taupau (soon), Thompson (if he booms), Tevaga, Fifita, Jurbo, Murray

Considering Flanagan just for something different. Roosters on a roll and can't afford Cleary. Don't know if it's worth trading Luai out for though but this week might be the one to make hay while others struggle

Edit: Can get Cleary/DCE if I trade Drinky instead but I have been looking at him as an ideal benchie long term

I agree with you LB but I guess I've lost patience and want to do something bold and go with my gut on this one. Think Flanagan would've been an excellent pick a few weeks ago before they had the weak broncos and dogs coming up. He's scored a few tries and kicked a lot of goals ecently. Not worried that his scores might cool off?

Love the JAC pick. If you're looking and only picking up his good scores, seems like a good value option.

Its tough to convince myself to buy a player on the down, but WFBs and CTRs on the down are ok coz it's normal for them to fluctuate a lot. It's always a gamble though, but so is every pick i spose.

I really should get Jurbo but is there a less exciting fantasy gun? Like will he score 53 or 56 this week? My life is already fairly monotonous as it is.

Really want to go Matto or Crichton just for a bit more fun. They might get 48, but could be 63 or 79! Id lock it in with no hesitation except I feel like I wasted so much cash stuffing around with centre’s the last couple of weeks already instead of settling for Averillo like a smart person.

what if I can never afford the fun of Ponga because I want the instant gratification of Matto now? It’s the problem keeping me up at night, figuratively speaking.

Contact training is stage 5 of the 6-stage concussion protocol (stage 6 being actually playing a game), so was that today or tomorrow

Looks like Bmoz is out of the game tomorrow aswell. Manu trained at fullback, Aubo centre and Hall on the wing in captains run today

From Roosters captain run. Teddy and BMoz didn't train

Manu fullback, Aubbo centre, Hall wing. Friend trained with team, although Verills got a spell

This talk of picking a captainable person where possible has me backtracking again.

Am I off point for picking up Ponga when I can afford Cook?
Obviously Cook is the better pick in a stand-alone points matchup for the rest of the season, but my WFB is Teddy, Pappy, Crichton and the thought of getting Crichton out of the 17 seems a better move than omitting a JTB/Rudolph if Cook comes in.

    Anybody disagree with my logic?

Ponga's gotta be a higher points differential over Crichton than Cook over whoever on your bench I imagine Pookus?
