I reckon there will be a fair few updates for that game.

possibly an early shower since he's still carrying a niggle right? maybe half an eye to keeping Hoy match fresh in the case they give Ponga a night off down the track

Many years ago, Bill Harrigan as video ref made the decision that by making an illegal tackle, Scott Drinkwater* ruled himself out of the equation for whether he could have stopped the try legally, and gave a penalty try in a similar situation. I think you could use similar reasoning to give a penalty try in today's case too
* Can't remember which player it was at the time, I think it was in an Aus/NZ game

Twice in a row is a bit strange. Last week was understood. Maybe they just want to get game time into Hoy
Apparently he went to lock when Hoy came on. Hopefully just a rest given he was in a forward role. One of their best again this week

Got Haas, Fotu, Arrow and Croft in the next game, then Rudolf, Grant, Lucy and Averillo tomorrow.
That's bloody good mate
I'm 435/10

HTF and Lolo are owed a TS from the first half.

You don't get the benefit of what if when you commit a professional foul.
He got sinbinned for the professional foul and yeah the try would have set up a close finish but maybe look at why Knights were down 26 at the half as to why they lost. Controversial moment to finish sure but it didn’t change the game

I think it was a penalty try, but also both of the Cowboys tries ruled out for obstruction were harsh, particularly the one where Fitzgibbon brushed into the man and fell over rather than bothering to get to the tackle, so no real room for Newcastle complaints.

That's exactly my point. Saying someone is in the area when they're the offending player is madness. They're illegally made the tackle early of course they're there. Without that what happens? Ponga scores.
We don't win that game and we don't deserve to win that game but that should be the rule.

By no means am I throwing the toys out the cott and saying it cost us the game. I just want to see some common sense.
Knights were 100% to blame for that loss, no ifs buts or maybes. We'll get our rocket up us and we'll come again. Cowboys attitude and enthusiasm just too much for us.

10/455 is pretty mediocre, a Ponga penalty try and goal would've made it a lot better. Somehow made up 700 ranks from 1900 to 1200 during that game though with Lolo, Pearce, Ponga and HTF.
Captain Haas and Fotuaika in this game will hopefully make it a bit more respectable.

Yeah I'm absolutely stoked this week, I was 50/50 on whether to sell Katoa or Papy and I absolutely nailed it. Also nailed the Flanno pick, a half that can bang out 60+ despite not doing that much is worth their weight in gold.
Even better for me is that unless we have more major injuries, I have no guys that I want to sell next week, all of them are doing so well.

Hey since Latrell got sinbinned after getting a TS bit of a stretch to expect one for Drinkwater?

Remember when people used to make fun of Tim Sheens for starting with a winger on the bench?
Now we have the Broncos with a winger and a half on the bench.

He looked absolutely buggered after several repeat sets in defence on their line.Shady2K wrote:Anyone know why Mann didn't play the 80? Just given a breather?
