I also think the Gillett one is the worst ref blunder ever. There’s a good one from the Qld Cup where the touchie says a player batted the ball back when he basically run 10m over the sideline.

I hope this one doesn’t cost the Bulldogs. 20-10 is a nervous lead when you aren’t used to winning

Can't see it on youtube, but the 1996 Super League World Nines was basically the first tournament anywhere to use a video ref, and the ref pushed the wrong button once to give a try that was clearly not meant to be
