Nice work Welshy. Have a similar list but no Leniu. How would he be getting more minutes?Welshy wrote:

Main ones noticed in pre-season last year would have been Koro, Carrigan, Cleary (to extent), Leilua, Mann, Papenhuyzen, Lomax (not by me )
Ones that went under radar: Flanagan, Hughes, Frizell

Add Edwards, Peachey, Grant, Best, Fogarty, Hunt, Capewell and Twal pre-injury to the list.
I have highlighted the players my post was mainly geared towards. All the other guys were talked about many times in the pre season or didn't really go that far above original, guys like Grant and Api were givens
I'm on about how tough it is to forsee the jump, like Harris playing almost 80 in the middle if we knew that preseason he would of been straight in. Frizell 80 minutes games are far above where he was priced but previous seasons were mixed with loads of lower minute stints, last season almost all games were 80. Yeo same as Harris, would of been straight in had we had that sort of pre season info
Players in new roles are easy to spot, its the guys above who are so so tough to get at the start.
Not including Tawl because he finished season averaging 53 regardless of what he did early season it wasn't maintained, he might get it back this season but that's the batlle now deciding if he will with Tamou and Offa added. Capewell was always a 40+ scorer, Edwards previously around 45/46 average and finished only a few above, Hunt in a hooker role which changed mid season would of been picked up in pre season
That's why the guns and cows always works. Much easier to see the wood from the trees

I'm not sure he will mate, But there is potential there if the circumstances in the Panthers pack mean he does. Goes hard
I probably shouldn't have him on that list as his role doesn't look to be increased yet. But he could be one of the guys I mentioned in previous post where in preseason it doesn't look like anything has changed but he gets an increased role out of no where

Twal was a deadset gun before getting injured. Low of 61 in his first 5 games, was on track for a 6th straight 60+ when he got injured. The players that have left the Tigers averaged more minutes last season than the guys replacing them Aloiai (49 minutes) and Eisenhuth (58) vs Tamou (42) and Ofa (48, actually overestimated as includes three 80 minute games on the edge, more like 40 minute average in the middle).
Edwards averaged 37 in 2019 and jumped to 50 last season, was a great mid to gun example.

Edwards 45 2018, 48 2017 down year 2019 with all the likely rumours about the cheating and backstabbing etc. He's been a gun before so the return was no surprise.
Yeah but he finished season averaging 53? You can't cherry pick after R12 he played 6 games for a 47 average. Unless he plays every game in the middle for 70+ minutes he isn't going to get the numbers you are expecting to make him a middle GUN.

Just needs 60+ minutes to hit a 60 average. Without Eisenhuth there he easily gets that. Its not cherry picking, when the guy stealing his minutes is no longer there and is replaced by lower minute forwards. In addition they have gone from an 80 minute hooker to a guy that has never played 80 minutes. Twal is the guy most likely to benefit from all of these changes as the only middle in the team with a proven high work rate playing 60+ minutes.Welshy wrote:

but Eisenhuth has been replaced with another player in Offa? Whose minutes at the donkeys are irrelevant to his Tigers minutes
Twals average in games playing over 60 minutes and under 70 minutes is 55. Albeit small 6 game sample
My point is he needs pretty much 80 mins long term to score over a 60 average

Now that is cherry picking, his average with 60+ minutes last season was 59, 70+ minutes 66. If he gets 60+ minutes he is a gun, no uncertainty at all.Welshy wrote:

You expect a guy that couldn't get minutes at the team most hit by injury to suddenly get bulk minutes at the Tigers?

That includes games playing 80 when Eisenhuth was injured. When Eisenhuth was available he didn't play those minutes
Twal doesn't have the attacking game to maintain a 60 average playing 60/65 minutes. My point as it was at the start is unless he plays 80 he won't go over a 60 average

My point again as you have clearly missed it - games 60+ 59 average, all he needs to be a gun keeper playing round 13.Welshy wrote:

I dont think that Brailey with a HOK on the bench is good value. Also... why are you not promoting Lachie Croker. First picked NPR half

Re Broncos not being so keen on Paix... maybe cause they got the Goat coming in?
Also had someone up in Townsville in my office today who lives in the coast... apparently his mate text him (who is pretty knowledgeable around the club apparently) and CS9 has pretty much agreed to join the Titans.
Take with a grain of salt but cause who bloody knows. I just wanna know if he plays on or not because I have a tenner on with a guy at work that he will play NRL this year.

Make your draft picks so everyone else isn't waiting around all the time, you committed to the draft mate, have to make more effort

This draft is so slow
