    My lot until TLT:

    Smith, J. Friend
    RCG, Grant, Evans, Lawrence
    S. Burgess, G. Cooper, JDB, Cartwright - Henry, V. Leuluai
Hunt, Hastings - Taylor, J. Nikorima
    Leilua, Auva'a - Gutherson, Scott
Radradra, Mansour, Eden - Mitchell, Feeney

I've tried to go against the grain a bit with a few calculated risks. Any fans?

    You're all set at hooker.
Fifita's injury/suspension history worries me, but I guess he's an easy trade out. I'd be hoping for a better nuff than Kaufusi on TLT but otherwise very strong front row.
Second row is very risky, but if you like those players then go for it - I've gone with a similar approach in my front row. I have my doubts about the upside of your starters though. Maybe V Leuluai over Bhana for DPP if no must-haves emerge on TLT.
    Halves is fine.
I really think centre is the position to go light. Admittedly I'm in the 'never again' camp for Aubo and not convinced Ferguson will stay at FB, but if those two fire you'll be pretty well set.
I honestly think Barba is a one year wonder - I'd much prefer a downgrade to Eden or Scott and use the cash elsewhere, but the rest of your backline is fine.

Personally I'd downgrade at centre and use the cash to upgrade a couple of back rowers, but I always like seeing people try something different and if it works you put yourself in position to make a run at the overall prize.

I agree completely about Fifita, he is worry some for me. Of course if Kaufusi will be another NPR if not named.

I am looking at Bromwich -> Grant and then grabbing a 2RF/FRF.

I don't see Eden or Scott hanging around enough to be a worth while option as a Cash Cow.

    - J. Friend if he ends up playing 80 minutes this season. (Likely) I think he could push close to a 60 average which is really good.
    - I don't rate R. Campbell-Gillard, he averaged 40 minutes last season and I don't see that changing. Especially with Merrin playing in the FRF.
    - G. Cooper is a solid pick up, but I think it is better going for a straight gun. He isn't as consistent as other guns and he isn't that much cheaper.
    - Going with B. Hunt over D. Cherry-Evans is a risk because if he goes big as everyone predicts you could end up behind. With that said it won't he wont score much less than D. Cherry-Evans, and B. Hunt is proven to score consistently at that level. So I can see why you make that pick. Also have to take note that B. Hunt will be missing Round 1.
    - J. Leilua isn't worth a look. He was playing all last year and scores fluctuate way too much. There are better options that are cheaper and more consistent options that are a little more.
    - S. Radradra could be a risk this season with M. Jennings possibly taking the line on more than shoveling it out to S. Radradra, it also may work in his favour.
    - I don't think Eden will earn enough on the wing to warrant a pick up. He will have what 3 or 4 games to try and make cash. Most wingers don't make that much so unless he has a massive game early on he wont make you enough cash before he is dropped in favour of L. Maranta or J. Reed joining in the team.

Yeah a few 'hunch' picks in there like RCG and Leilua - BJ in particular I think could benefit from a vastly improved Raiders attack and rack up a few high-scoring games early. I could probably be talked into downgrading him to Rankin via a bit of DPP magic if he jags a spot, but people seem to think it will be Hunt. That'd leave me with enough cash to upgrade RCG to someone like Matt Scott who could be a good buy if he returns to 2014 form, which is very possible now that his back is fixed up.

Also, pretty sure Hunt served his suspension in the Nines and WCC, so he'll be there for Round 1. Just like him as a low-risk POD over DCE.

Semi is the big one though - as much as Jennings likes having a crack himself, I'm sure he's smart enough to pass to Semi if he's open or isolated against a poor defender. Again, it's a calculated risk, but I think I'd rather have him than stuff around with guys like Gordon and Ferguson.

Was away with some mates on the weekend and we were talking fantasy teams - the idea of a 4 cashcow halves setup came up, so i thought i'd have a look at what options that might open up.

    Lichaa, Hodgson(r)
    Woods(c), Stockwell, Grant(r), Evans(r)
Graham, Taupau, Cartwright, Rochow(r), Pauli, MCK
    Hastings, Feeney, Taylor, JNiko
    Aubbs, CLaw, Henry, Gutherson
    Ted, Mansour, Gordon, Mitchell, Eden.

I'm well aware this doesn't meet the "NRLFantasyFanatics Approved Team Structure", but I'd be interested in hearing some other folks thoughts.

What sort of coin does this leave you with Soy?

To be honest, I actually don't mind the look of the team but I thought that with 4 rookie halves, surely you'd have bulk coin to be able to splash around elsewhere.

I can't really see a viable captaincy option in the side (I see you've picked Woods) and I think you'll fall behind the guys that have at least one gun half and another gun or two elsewhere.

That being said, you have a better balance of less volatile scoring options across your team than what I thought would be possible, especially in the front three rows.

Does it leave you any money to be able to upgrade Woods to an out and out gun or bring in say a CP13 or Gal?

Nah - it's pretty much using the cap. There's really not any cash saved - DCE was pretty much a straight swap for Tedesco, and I've given myself a better bench at the expense of a Supergun captain. The Woods pick was a punt looking at how he started last year - he was averaging better than Smith and Parker over the first month of the season and then started to fade.

To find the extra 100k to get say Gal (the cheapest recognised captain option) i'd need to trade Stockwell down to BLawrence, and I feel that until Tariq Sims comes back there's a good 10+ point differential between Stockwell and BLaw, but I'm not confident that Gal will consistently outscore Woods, let alone by 5+ points.

Edit - Just did a rough estimate of what I'd expect to get, and I reckon it's 800+ without being overly bullish.

I've got it close to 760-775. But I'm being a bit harsher on my marking. But even then, for a team that doesn't have any "out and out" guns, that's actually quite impressive.

What that team does REALLY having going for it is money making potential. All of those players (bar Woods, Lichaa and maybe Graham) should make decent money.

    CP13 + Sue + Whitehead (three cows) and CLaw + Auva'a (227k spare)

    OR

CP13 + Sue + Whitehead + Cartwright with the same centrepairing

    OR

CP13 + Sue + Whitehead + CLaw with Croker and Auva'a in the centres?

Both last combos leave me around 40k

Fair enough with the score estimates, but they hit 685 on last year's averages (and that includes Hastings 17 and 0 for Feeney). As you said, there's money making potential pretty much across the board, and to make money you need to outscore your average. From that 2015 average, by position I see: HKR +5-8, FRF +25-32, 2RF +10-15, HLF +40-50, CTR +10-20, WFB +10-15, giving a total improvement of 100-140 points.

Aubbs to CTR and drop Leilua for someone more reliable would be my suggestion. Otherwise squad looks really good.

Cheers Honeysett. Good suggestion but Leilua is my pod. Before my stream of the Raiders v Knights cut off Leilua set up 2 tries got some tackle breaks & I think he scored himself & they seemed to hit his edge quite a lot. I also read a comment from Stuart that Leilua's attitude was focussed & he expected him to have a big year. But now you have me thinking.

BJ only a season removed from like a 40+ avg same as Lafai, i think he is well worth the punt mate

Yeah I remember that game for the Knights when he scored 4 tries I think. Hoping he does the same in round 1.

I don't want to further muddy the waters for you because you should back yourself but it was against the Knights.. in a trial.. we're horrible at the best of times haha.

It boils down to what his name is listed as on the team sheets prior to kick off.

BJ Leilua = sucks + blows = poor scores
Joey Leilua = champion = good scores

Great team mate. The only one I'm not keen on is Stockwell. They tried K. Sims on the 2fr in the trial & it was a failure so I expect him to go back to the front row & Stockwell will be on the bench. Also the Knights forums really panned Stockwell & described his performance as "invisible" & "lacklustre".
