It was one trial though, I doubt Brown would react that harsh to one trial game. Very small sample size. Stockwell should pump up consistent 40s and that's enough for me at that price. Not expected the world of him, just hit consistent scores and make me some money.

Going light in the centres has been somewhat of a tactic of mine over the years and it seems to work well for me. Centres are very erratic with their scoring, so I don't find it useful spending big money on a player who can just as easily score 20 points as they can 40 points.
I save that for further down the track once profit has been made and we have an idea of who are the consistent performers

I am normally the same lad, but last year i knew Solly would be solid and was stupidly priced a ~$179 so was almost guarenteed 30 points, not many expected his explosion into the keeper he became! In that scenario and you can take a punt on a rookie alongside him then, we all got lucky that Aitken and Bird where steals also
This year i can't see the same type of player unless you are paying $100k more for the likes of CLaw so much more risk of having 2 complete duds there

Honestly other than a few TLT issues the squad is really good. If you can squeeze Barba in over Copley pending the TLT I would like it a little more.
