Just tip against the Knights all year = Winner. Is it me or does your boy Hodkinson look fitter this year? (Training the house down in the pre season no doubt).

I think everyone looks a lot sharper this year, the defense in the trial worries me though. First half was horrible, although we always struggle against the Raiders

I knew we needed a separate thread  for preseason training reports.  This gem of info will get lost in the main thread rabble....

Interested to get thoughts from anyone on below, I know my 2RW's lack guns which is something I've tossed up between today...but really focused on making cash in the first half of the season and getting in guns by mid season

I'd try to have at least 1 gun back rower in there - The group of Rochow, Turner, Mataora, Aubusson and Lawrence is where I'd try to move some parts around and see if you can land on a combo with a star back rower, even if it's a cheaper one like Taupau/JDB/Gillett/Cooper.

Mate that's a solid looking team, but I think you've perhaps got one mid-ranger too many. Maybe Mann to Fergo or Mansour would do the trick? Also I'm assuming Lichaa/Grant/Rochow/Turner is your bench? If you're happy to put Taylor or Feeney or someone in your 17 you could look at dropping Rochow or Turner for a cheapie and upgrading Copley to someone a bit more threatening.

Pretty happy with, but not 100% sold on it. Backs look to be the obvious weakness. Im not really sold on any of the new Knights players, Mamo could easily be back next week as could some of the Matu'utai bros. I figured that everybody else has them, so if they bomb, wont be the only one to go down with the sinking ship.

Purely because you have a set and forget Captain option in Smith I personally would go 2. Plus having Tedesco is awesome as he is a genuine POD.
