Then why not just keep them in their bubbles down there? What's the difference in bringing them up here? Can they go out into the public then up here? Would still need 14 days in a bubble up here though before they could do that.

The nsw teams have to stick to strict rules for 14 days (eg only go to training/games).

Players on the field arent going to transmit covid to people in the crowd though, that's just pure stupidity. Reminds me of that Adelaide govt official who said to duck the ball if it comes near you in the crowd.

Meanwhile they are having a full stadium for origin.. someone remind them NSW is playing?

Dragons broke (obliterated) any trust anyone had that the players could keep the bubble.
Too much of a risk of the comp shutting down given how COVID is going in NSW.

EDIT: Yeah OK just saw the no crowds thing. That's weird. Not sure about that one.
