Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 6
Im pretty sure I read somewhere that Wallace has spent some time at dummy half during training. Ill try and find the comment later. Wouldnt surprise me if he tried that shit again, especially if he is eventually looking to transition Moylan from FB to 5/8th.

Picking all of the "value" players would leave you something like
Parcell/Niko
Trbojevic/Ah Mau/Lawrence/Grant
De Belin/Rochow/Aubbo(or Tauk)/Sue/Carter/Pauli Pauli
JReynolds/Hastings/Taylor/TMM
Copley/Hurrell/Auva'a/Opacic
Mansour/Barba/Gutherson/Hawkins/Mitchell
That team would struggle to score 600 on good weeks and would leave you 700 points behind by the time they make enough cash to do anything with
Explain to me how Trbojevic, Ah Mau, Grant, Rochow, JReynolds and Barba are value? I just dont see it. Ive read up as much as the next man but these 'value' picks seem without any justification. Just a hunch

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 6
It seems to me the 2 areas to make money are in the halfs (1 gun & 3 cheapies) but also in the front row with Stockwell, Lawrence, Evans, Paasi, Grant, Ligi Sao (trial team indicates he's on the radar although I can't see it)
My halfs are the same as probably every other team (DCE, Hastings, Taylor, J-Nik)
I'm thinking of filling my frf with 4 of the above to make the cash then running with 2 gun hookers & a couple of guns in the 2fr.

I've tried but keep going back to 1 gun and 3 cows. If you're running 2 gun hookers and guns in the other key positions that's around 5-6 total. Anymore than this impacts team depth too much and leaves you with dodgy reserves in your 17 and no back ups in case of injury.
Last year from memory people were starting with 8 or 9 guns in their squads, much harder this year!
I've gone 1 gun, 1mid, 2cows

Ah Mau avg 50 mins and 50 points over last 10 rounds, no merrin this year
Rochow priced at 30 avg 40 last year albeit in only 5 games (some injury affected as well) avg 35 year prior. no soctt, aging Jeremy smith
Grant more minutes at tigers good PPM
JRey avg 45 when playing in the halves with Mbye will get bulk KM with no hodgko and leadership role
Barbas value is based on him getting the FB gig, now looking unlikely with Bird named FB second straight trial

Isn't Rochow priced at 34? Still some value but seems to be some better value emerging. Although at least his position seems pretty solid independant of Sims return...?

With McKendry being shunted & Matagi starting in the trial he's another cheap frf that's come onto the radar.

apologies mate still potential value there and almost guaranteed 80 minutes, I'm personally backing him to go for 40 points, in the absence of Scott with more attacking play going through him and some decent halves steering the team

Pretty sure he's been around the fringes for a while - I think he used to post "inside info" on fantasy FB pages a couple of years ago

Rookie question, if you have those four cashies in the FRF, do you want one of them to be dpp or does it not really matter?

I always try and get dual players especially in the FR and 2FR, you don't have to waste sometimes 2 trades then trying to field a team if a few injuries strike, you can move a few around the 2 positions and gives you more options

Forward from Parra U20s. U20s stats not impressive. probably nothing to get excited about

Yeah that my was gut feeling. I see value in Evans, Lawrence and especially Stockwell if named to start but none of them are dpp (at least not yet) so I see myself having to choose...

Sue is decent value if he can keep the lock spot

You want a dpp in your frf & 2fr for flexibility & again in your ctr & wfb. Try & get as many as you can.

Yeah thanks WL, currently got CLaw in my centres and Benry in the 2FR which I feel works nice. Just trying to figure out the best dpp FRF/2FR's. It seems the most talked about dpp's there are Sue, LAM, Paasi, Surgess (already have him) NAS, Pauli, and if you want dragons, Cooper and JDB. Any advances?

I also like the idea of Barba and Feeney but looking less likely
