I wish I had the budget for all three. I could upgrade JDB to Taupau but for some reason I like JDB more

A big thank you to Random (and anyone else who helped, even though it was only a little bit, so really not much) for setting up the forum and the leagues.

just noticed how little minutes taupau averaged last year and his ppm were immense. i knew he had good ppm but not that good. any thoughts on the second row minutes splits at the sea eagles this year?
which other players have that standard of ppm in the nrl?

He snuck onto my radar pretty early and I picked him up in our Draft. I have nothing to back this up but you can't help but think he will get some more minutes at Manly.Finger Puppet Mafia wrote:just noticed how little minutes taupau averaged last year and his ppm were immense. i knew he had good ppm but not that good. any thoughts on the second row minutes splits at the sea eagles this year?

I have LAM in my team so I don't want JDB as well. JDB is a great pick instead of Taupau & will do very well & I'm still juggling which one to go for. I would prefer JDB & Taupau but I can't afford it. The way I see it is JDB will play 60 minutes & score 50-55. Taupau will play 50 minutes & score about the same but Taupau has the ability to go boom & score big. Also he looked in very good form in the Indigenous/Allstars game.

Further on Taupau. Last year it seemed to me that his best form was at the start of the season for the first 7-8 games & after that he was pretty ordinary (I know this as that's what I did). So I think it's best to start with him rather than bringing him in later.

There are familiar names on this list, but also a few surprises.
Thoughts? What about Albert Vete?
Just bumping this...any feedback on this list?

Haha my fantasy history goes something like this
2012(174th)
2013(342nd)
2014(212nd)
2015 (17170nd)
One of those years i got married haha. hope this isn't a sign for my fantasy 'career'
Disclaimer: also moved house and changed job as well that year, but no excuses, copping it on the chin and will hope for a better year 2016.
Apologies if i dragged down the league score last year
PS didn't manage to piss myself or get caught simulating sex acts with dogs so a much better 'off season' this time than some
Bring on TLT

I've got all 3 at the moment. I've actually got a lineup I'm pretty pleased with and haven't changed it for a few days. Forwards particularly with Smith, Hodgson, Surgess, Woods, Grant, Evans, Merrin, Taupau, Cartwright. Plus Aubbs and CLaw in the Ctrs

@ Chewie. Great work & that's a great post. I have a few on that list but the one that stands out & that I don't have is Alvaro. I know his scores were inflated by tries & this reflects at 234k but he's a beast for sure. I just can't see him getting good minutes & he may not even make the 17 with Wicks & Gower probably in front of him.

Going to take a different approach this year, filled my team with cheapies and then when team lists come out I'll select my guns. This way I get all of the cheapies

Impressive list of players SG but what are your other 6 like.

Thanks for the feedback... I've got an eye on Alvaro and Vete (0.9ppm at the end of the season). Will have to wait and see what minutes they will get, especially with reduced interchanges. My current front row is Jturbo, LAM, Stockwell, and Evans... if Evans is a fizzer I'll be looking at Vete and Alvaro

I reckon Vete was one of the Warriors best forwards at the end of last season. While all the others were soft cocks & gave up he showed great heart & didn't. I just can't see him getting good minutes. Alvaro is a beast but he might not even make the bench with Wicks & Gower there plus De Gois.

I'll be keeping eye on Munster, I think Slater with age has become injury prone which may open the door to the fullback spot again during the season.
He'll be in the centres for now but should still score well. He's talented, is quick, is a great support player and is always looking to get involved. Coming back from injury in round 2 and with a BE of 43, I'll wait and see how he goes.
Alvaro played 30, 41 and 45 minutes respectively in his last 3 games, that's an awesome average and PPM from an average of only 38 mins per game. If he can cement a spot in the Parra pack he'd make a great POD.
I also hope LAM and Carty carry on from where they left off with a consistent > 50 average.
