ShadowSabre wrote:Reckon I rate this weeks trade ins in the following order:

    Guns and Mid Tiers:
Robson - Plays RD13 and who's doing all the right things. He's scoring very well and if he can snag a try will go huge. Has the Granville bench risk, but all trades have their risks and as he's currently not there, Robson seems a great trade in
McInnes - Gun with pedigree who's now starting, risks is he's in a better team now with more help around the park, but looks a handy 50-60 point player at the moment and an upgrade on our mid 30s to mid 40s players
Butcher - Comes at a tasty price and is finally has a chance to start for good mins, but has risks that as Roosters he still get's benched for a good spell
Walsh - Round 13, covers the pesky WFB position that many don't have cover for so could be a good in, plus has history of scoring well in said tricky position. Has it's risk but could be a great play
IPap - Comes in at a hefty price already and still unclear if he can sustain this price. Could pay to wait till after RD 13 now and see if that price comes down before now. Not a bad trade as always good to get guns, but money may be better spent elsewhere with RD13 on the horizon
Matto - Has pedigree also, but probably a tier down and doesnt play round 13. Good player who generally wont let you down unless he sees a big minute change
Barnett - Position looks to be a major factor for this one. Great price and if he can keep an Edge spot but looks to drop down a lot at lock. He's also a massive suspension risk as he doesnt have much impulse control. Big risk but like Walsh could be a great play if it pays off
Tohu - Uber gun before but coming back from a serious injury in limited mins. Could be a key buy, but possibly next week or week after due to those mins and price drops

    Cash Cows:
Peoples - Looks to have at least 2 or 3 good scores in him coming up due to injury, so risk he doesn't get enough of a chance, but this could be a great chance to cash out some deadweight in your team as well as use that cash for an upgrade. If he jags some good scores in his chances and further injury strikes the Rabbits it might prolong his stay of relevance. Risky but looks enticing
Wishart - Not sure I see the appeal here at all after last round. Yes cheap, but his position is certainly not guaranteed and neither are scores from him. Had a pretty poor game last week and if again could see him replaced and your stuck with yet another dud
Miller - Kennedy is due back next round from suspension - Don't do it

    Woolfod a consideration?

Ah yep Woolfod a good pick up there, overlooked him.
Probably place him between Peoples and Wishart. Looks a good talent, but with Elliot hanging around he seems a mighty risk that he doesnt just drop out again and like Wishart you're stuck with a dud not making cash

I’ll admit I have fond memories of Garner as a cow a few years ago I think it was.
I like the punt if you are convinced it’s his spot over Tuilagis. Averages around 45 starting at second row and think he could go big this week

I'm likely doing the same trades as your second option there.

Wouldn't mind punting on Peoples to be honest but McInnes looks too good bolstering scoring in my 17.

If Garner gets the next two weeks, I know it’s a very big IF.
Then back to back 45s gets him close to 500k before the bye.

Found a way to keep Talakai as if I trade him out it has to be for an EDG. If he flunks again I can keep an eye on Butcher and make the swap next week. Want to bring in Robson but it throws out my team balance. Trades atm are Coates to Peoples and Thompson to McInnes leaving this team

    Grant
    McInnes Lolo Haas
    Talakai IPap
    Cleary Hastings
    Penisini Tago
    Koula Turbo Hynes

    Starling
    Peoples
    Ilias
    Schneider

    MKing
    Elliott
    Tass
    Vailea

Using Schneider to loop in King if he does well otherwise hopefully Elliott is a late in or I could be playing Vailea yuck. Thoughts on my team overall?

4-way tie in the community team vote now. I’m about to board a flight so it’s Milchys problem, but help a cow out if you haven’t voted

Voted and added some thoughts. Caveat - I am ranked about 14000. Good luck with the vote, hopefully you get a decision.

Of course, like with anyone.  It's all speculation really.  My point is people saying he comes back onto the bench by default if Hammer gets a starting gig.  I think Granville comes onto the bench only if the coach wants to give Robson a rest, not just because a spot has opened up due to an injury to a back.

Of course, it doesn't mean he will, but if he does the history suggests Robson won't play 80 more than he will. What other utilities have they run in the past or could in this instance? For me, if Granvilles on the bench then it's a similar scenario as Randal/Crossland which you seem to accept?

Leaning towards taking the punt though (over Cotter) ha.

haha i haven't committed yet, but i want to, i think he's won the spot but have also been looking though the Tigers site and haven't found anything to prove or disprove that, closest i got was a video with Garner saying he's more comfortable playing second row, it might be prudent to wait because being named there next week would be the best confirmation, but in a weird way, nobody mentioning him is enticing me, I've been a week behind on a few popular trades this season and I've love to be a week ahead on one.

    Randall and Pap out - McInnes and Robson in.  I want to gun for round 13 but McInnes at that price is hard to give up.  Walsh can wait a week maybe and Butcher I'd like to see a week.  Gives me an extra forward if Burton is out too as Nanai will have to get a run.  Gives me;

    Cook
    McInnes Yeo Jing
    Fermor Aitken
    Hastings Cleary
    Penis Tago
    Hynes Scritta Koula

    Robson Ming Starling Burton

    Nanai Leo Vailea Wishart

135K left and 20 trades.  Will ponder McInnes now or 14 though....
Solid trades mate. Any thought of using that extra bank to get Cotter over Mclnnes?

Haha I’m 100% in the same boat when it comes to being behind on the popular trades.

Would be nice to get on early but the risk is giving me pause. If I knew Elliot was going to be playing I’d definitely go that way but it’s too far away from when Tui/Leo play

Thanks mate.  Have really given Cotter much thought.  Pretty sure he gets picked for Origin though.  Guess I'm sucked in by McInnes' pedigree.

If for some reason Crossland drops off the bench, realised I can keep Randall and do Pap and Leo to Robson and Butcher. Jeez....that's tempting and gives Randall one more final go.
