    If Ur able to be awarded a try for downward pressure via the forearm or torso, then same body parts can 'regrip' and score imo. Let's get Surmo to change the rules again if need be.

    I think what would help if the commentary team knew the rules of the game. Not their dinosaur explayer, gambling influenced opinion.

    Haas with another sub par score. Like I've been saying for 3 weeks, we aren't buying him to score 50.

    Broncos going well = Lower scores for Haas

    Controversially I am not against offloads having a good value in fantasy, especially those that go to hand.
    Yes maybe they are a point overvalued, but I reckon watching games where a team has an effective offloader or two, it makes such a difference to your teams momentum and generally it's the top teams which also have this - Storm have Welch (Obvs injured atm, but was a big part of his game last year), Panthers have Kikau, Sharks have Hynes and Ramien, Eels Matto as examples of this. Outliers of course with TPJ and Klemmer, but generally when they offload well their team goes well
    So IMO it plays a major part in their performance. Teams are effectively getting an extra tackle per set with someone offloading late in a tackle and the recipient running 10-20 extra metres, that is having a visible benefit in real life and thus should be rewarded in fantasy.
    The stat that pisses me off is the last tackler in often getting a point, they often literally have done nothing and yet rack up extra fantasy points and there's a few out there who benefit from this.

    I think one scoring change would be one on one tackles being worth 2 instead of 1 to reward the better tacklers around. Offloads to hand will be 3 not 4 next year you would imagine which is probably about right

    Apologies for the rants last night peeps. Wasn’t in a great mood. Long time as a soul destroyed knights fan and a funeral for a good friend today (I’m fine, I express my grief in referee abuse and whingeing apparently)

    If I get Robson, I need to buy Peoples/Kiraz/Wishart. Or can just gamble on Butcher in one move. Leaning the former.

    I think if Kiraz is in the centres at 5pm, I’m punting on the lad. Looked lively. Has MattNZ approved reserve grade stats

    Gagai doesn't regrip the ball, yes he applies downward pressure but that isn't the rule.     It's not the rules mate - it's the inconsistent interpretation of them.
    It's been discussed before - but there's clear confirmation bias within the ref ranks (either that or the conspiracy theorists jump up and yell about intentional favouritism towards certain 'top' teams) 
    Teams like the Knights cop the wrong side of 50/50 calls, while others (cough cough Broncos) get the "rub of the green" all too often.
    This is why jaded and salty fans like me get the shits.

    That and the fact that the Knights literally suck in 2022.

    lol they were interpreted correctly though.

    my carefactor for ref chat is pretty low. I wouldn't have cared if the obstruction was called. all teams cop bad calls. its swings and roundabouts. the whole bias narrative is way overdone. good teams dont let a couple of 50/50 ref calls impact the result

    Makes me remember that time I think Ricky said in the media when he was coaching the Sharks that they were not using the whole cap and he got told to rescind or reword his comments.

    So many players get overs, and contracts that are to long. A massive issue for me that almost never gets spoken about. The top players even say get a 3 or 4 year deal based on there current form, so often leads to the 3rd or 4th year being way overs as they play like Muppets once the money is locked down.

    Just a comment on shite players in the nrl...to make it in the nrl you have to be a good trainer so player A who is low on talent but is an excellent trainer will prevail over player B who has abundant talent but can't handle the training.

    Yeah but that's separate from what I'm saying.

    Once players shows there on field ability, then puts the handbrake on regularly, that's simple.
