NRL fantasy 2022 - Part 47 - Fuck off fickle fans.

615/13 with Captain Nicho to play along with three of Elliott, Starling, Fermor, Peoples. Wouldn't have been bad except for Lolo and Trbo injuries.

Initial trade thoughts are Lolo (if out a while) and Trbo out for Tohu and Keary. Would mean missing out on Kiraz, who does look good for cash but meh Bulldogs outside backs, wouldn't be playing him.

Taumalolo injury ruined a good night. Hope the big man gets well soon.

Wondering whether I play Ilias over trading out Schneider to Elliot. Use that trade next week on Lolo.

I don’t understand the thinking behind trying to pick which one of Cleary and Hynes scores the most each week……lock one and ride the average. I reckon they both end up around the same place come seasons end*


*I have been known to be less than accurate occasionally

Just Hynes (who everybody has), Elliot and Talakai (tomorrow would be a great day for you to banner up again lad) to play.

If I think Hynes and cleary will average exactly the same for the remainder of the season wouldn’t I be incentivised to try and pick which one will do better on a weekly basis, (based on match ups)

if it is actually possible to do so, it’s ballsy to try and interpret when cleary will have us off days or when sharks/Hynes will be pap

The only question i have is whether Hynes could average as much as cleary overall which through cleary a slight 2022 nerf and Hynes stepping up to unheralded levels it appears they will average similar / fwiw I think panthers being much better than sharks will help cleary average higher

I understand that there is a fair bit to gain by guessing the ‘right’ way each week but… I think that @ynot, among others, has done some pretty informative work on this in previous seasons, and shown that matchups don’t necessarily matter that much, with the possible exception of outside backs (and even then not significantly).

In saying that, trying to pick the winner each week does introduce some extra tension and excitement into the game so each to their own
