I wouldn't call Cook's try a 'junk' try, that makes no sense.

Junk are just pointless points in final 2 minutes of the game, don’t let anyone try and reconfigure what it means.

For mine junk points are points scored either:

- in the dying moments (think farnworths intercept try in the last 30s of the Broncos game)
- meaningless plays (typically late game but not necessarily), think an OFH but the person catching the ball immediately gets tackled. Also stuff like a team who are up by 20 kicking a field goal for the lols.

Anything else isn't junk imo

Yeah, it's that or eg. Jack Bird crabbing across the field for three tackle busts and no metres or gain to his team. Scoring or setting up tries through skill in the middle of the game is the opposite of junk.

The Raiders trainer (Isaac Priddis) is an old family friend and it's always so weird to see him out there
