Great cow.
Haha I’ll probably have to keep him long enough to dip back under the magic number

I really need your help defeating Majin Buu, so if you could just channel all your POSITIVE VIBES towards HYNES and TALAKAI, then we might be able to gather enough energy to finish this spirit bomb. Don't let me down now, potential best friend. Don't make Goku sad.
Hi Goku. Can you also arrange a couple of Fermor linebreak tries and I promise to also cheer if Mulitalo breaks a tackle, TIA.

The self-sabotage I’ve engaged in this weekend has been destructive to the point of looking intentional, if my ranking isn’t turfed afterwards it’ll be a miracle, up 200 places to the current point, but I only have Mcinnes and Hynes to defend it.

897/16C - Starling's junk points and Elliot coming back on tipped me just over 10,000th. Only got Hynes in this game who everybody except for Matt NZ has. Will have to wait for this momentous occasion until next week

Fundamentally you need to decide on a defensive system then design drills to fit it. The defensive system will dictate what the 3 man(halves) do when the opposition is in the red zone. Up and in system works well at younger age groups if you have a really fit team who aren't scared of contact. If they aren't you probably want to go with hold and slide.
Up and in you basically want the second rower, half, centre and winger tied together with a string defensively. Half is your primary caller and when they decide to go in and shut down a play early everyone has to go with them. Normally this will leave the attacking winger unmarked with defensive winger on centre, defensive centre on ball player and defensive half on backrower. If they can't fully commit or can't make one on one tackles here it can end in disaster
Hold and slide is probably best for a team not great at one on one tackling because it lets the support get across to help. Most importantly you want fast feet taking 3-4 metres off the line as quickly as possible, keeping hips square so the entire body is facing towards the opposition goal line and then sliding from the inside as the defense passes the ball. Winger needs to hold their nerve and not come in on the centre
Once you have worked out what works best find a weakness and train to improve it. Lot of arm/jersey grab tackles? Run tackling drills with the defenders holding tennis balls in both hands. Line speed an issue? High knees, fast feet and shuttles.
If all else fails for the younger group you can probably get quick wins making them defend super narrow when the opposition is coming out of trouble. By narrow I mean the far winger only being as wide as the furthest goal post. At that age most players won't have the technical skills to find the players on the outside as long as your line speed is good

Find myself in another tight L11 battle. I’m down 52 points. We both have Hynes. I’ve got McInnis. Gonna be a close one!

[quote="Welshy"]That Starling tackle count has to be wrong? 29? Was literally making 2/3 tackles a set
Whatever anyone says, the kid is 100% an NRL hooker. Can’t handle 80 but that’s fine, great 50-60 minutes middle
Reckon it reflects badly on Canberra training practices, if they can't get him fit enough to handle 80

Fucking hate fantasy for that, I feel uniquely cursed in buying guys and turning them to shit, and then they get good the instant I sell them

Why did you score so high last week and not this week? I'll never get off the bottom of the ladder at this rate. I will top the scoring in League 11 this week and still be on the bottom

I’ll take it as a small win. Schneider v Ilias v Trading in Elliot for one of them.
Went with Schneider got the lowest score of the 3 but at least a trade was kept in the bank
