Their recruitment strategy of bringing in average guys and building them into great players through their culture and structures doesn't seem to be quite as effective this season. Their full strength spine is still amongst the best in the league, but there just isn't the same quality across the park that there used to be, nor is there the level of quality depth they once had.
Part of it is no reserve grade the last 2 years so their depth guys haven’t played any footy

I thought Munster was a bit disappointing in defense he seemed to bail out of 2-3 important tackles. It looked like he was protecting his shoulder & wasn't keen on committing to the tackle. Was the injury he was out for related to his shoulder?

The Storm missed B. Smith he always provides a bit of spark in the ruck & gets them on the front foot

He's been really bad this year, honestly I think we're better off without him.

He's also a terrible influence on the playing group too.

I honestly think we should be dropping at least one or maybe multiple of him (when available), the Bromwiches and Kaufusi. None of them seem like they care at all, and I want to see the young fellas rip in for their spots.

If Howarth was fit (apparently he's injured now but can't find any info on nrl.com) I would want him straight in on one edge, and McDonald starting at prop (he hasn't been amazing but he at least tries hard and runs it straight).

Losing Welch in round 1 is really killing us now, the team would be light years ahead if he was there ripping into them.

This round is the one that breaks my season. Had to cop Kennedy and Mulitalo scores due to no trades and no Papy plus playing with 16 with no Manu. Not a good week Sad

Storm rely on big runs from their backs to start the set, as all good teams do. With Coates and Remis going down, the blokes they are relying on can't do it consistently... it just ain't happening for them.

Can't blame the Brom bros - sure, they aren't at the peak of their powers but they aren't doing a poor job by any means. Kaufusi is hit and miss for sure.

Bellamy must be a bit concerned on what the rest of the season holds, and next year. Losing half the forward pack and running with very raw talent as back up in the backs is concerning. Relying on Grant and Paps to stay injury free is a gamble... big decisions to be made for the club in the next 12 months.

I feel like I’m in heaven walking on a cloud, voice cooked, hands clapped red raw and the Mighty Rabbitohs are back in the top 6! I’m soaking it all in gonna stay up half the night I’m oh so excited!!!

Glory Glory kents now for me to keep going with my standing and applauding! Nothing can wipe the smile off my face I had tears in my eyes at times in that second half oh so proud!

I had nobody in the Souths/Storm game and didn't drop too many ranks, so considering that a win.

851/15c with Hastings and Doueihi to go

nothing outstanding from my 8 today but nothing to tank my fantastic start, sitting on 14/869(C) with Burton, Douehi and Robson still to play, hopefully that trio can put me into 4 figures.
