You think he's going to get the touches at centre to go big? It's obviously possible, but I didn't think the Manly team looked that bad. I guess it is pretty bad in the areas Manu will be attacking.

If he scores couple of tries that's probably +60 if not more. Why would you bet against that by selling? What's to say he won't outscore Teddy who you want to bring in?

I am so disappointed that a tackle like Finucanes is a suspension. Rugby league as its known and what made it obtain the following it has in Australia will never be again, hesitate to say RL is 'done', as i don't know what it will take to make me ever stop watching. It's like I can't stop, no matter how soft it becomes. There may be a tipping point, idk.
Its a contact, hard hitting, tackle at high speed sport. If they want to outlaw hard hits and intensity it needs to be a new sport, literally.

I'm not the old school ignorant type, back in my day yada... it's just getting more and more limited. These guys cannot do all they can anymore as it is being ruled out.

Head clashes and concussion are a serious issue, I'm not ignoring that at all. What's the alternative. Do u guys see the game devolving albeit slowly ?

There's more, alot more examples of tackles, plus the random tackles that lead to hip drops, this can occur randomly in addition to any done on purpose.

Must be bored, or down to 4 trades, as theres another whinge.

The reason I was drawn to league when I was younger was the brutality...I had dabbled in union at school & found it too restricted & controlled & I hated when a player would run at you & then kick the ball before you could tackle him. Now is a different world but imo leave the game alone yes there are concssions, head knocks, etc but if you can't handle that go play badminton. Players when they laced up the boots know the risks in playing league that you will get smashed & bashed but that is what makes league the toughest game in the world.

Are people still looking at my BEs?
I assume its irrelevant for most, but just noticed I had a price filter still on the sheet when I posted them this week so all expensive players got missed. Nobody complained so does that mean we're all at a point where BEs don't matter?

Nofo @ 534k playing for the Storm seems a great option if you can't afford any wfb 600k+. I know atm the Storm aren't in great form but when they click Nofo could nab a few tries.

My plan is to buy Tedesco this week & Mitchell next week because he's up against the Sharks this week which is a tough game. The Sharks are very good defensively & I can't see Latrell doing much but then he plays the warriors rd. 21 where he'll carve up. Do you like my plan. Thanks.

I decided last week with price and remaining fixtures I would give Latrell a miss. I wouldn't be planning on big money purchase this late just because of 1 fixture. That's my reasoning anyway

Actually, I noticed that Cook was missing (as the one big gun I'm still trying to find a way to get).
    That said - Milchcow, you're BEs are a god-send.
Thank you for all the efforts.

If you notice something fishy in the BEs please point it out, and I'll generally fix it.

FYI I have iPap at 66 and Cook at 90 this week.

Don't know if it got mentioned earlier but Alfie was spot on with his bold prediction:

Still can't believe I picked Mahoney at 780k over Cook at 767k to start the year.

I know I had a reason at the time, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was.

Always appreciate the post but didn't actually need breakevens this week. For me it's at the point of trading in the best players you can afford regardless of price drops

It pretty much is. But there are situations where it might be handy. eg if you are just short of affording Damien Cook this week, do you wait a week to see if his price drops, or pull the trigger in an inferior trade.
BE and likelihood of affording the trade next week can help make decision.

Interesting discussion...I think the drive away from full contact sports is pretty strong in primary school. My daughters primary school is an interesting study in contradictions. Inner city school in an upper middle class area but with one of the last remaining ovals. They definitely play touch, both intra school and at lunchtime, and most kids have a grasp of the rules (combination of good sports education program and the fact we are 500 metres from Broncos HQ so very high awareness).
Massive soccer participation for both intra school teams and the local club, where we are well and truly oversubscribed for junior teams, but boys in particular drift away as they reach high school age and are press ganged into Union at their private schools.

I wasn't even aware of that, the oval/grounds missing from schools more and more, someone else mentioned that earlier. I find that astounding. Unless it's forced by school location, property type. Or is this where it's always the case due to being city based etc

Ah yes, so much more acceptable is Union, alot more discretion for intellect to be knocked out of a skull as opposed to a Leaguie Excited

I did this too....the logic was that Mahoney would go to the next level as demonstrated by >60 average last year plus he wouldn't miss any time due to Origin. The logic was flawed.

I'm not going to talk about my Angus over Haas pick...
