Not sure I understand the hate for Smith. The gamble pre round 1 didn't pay off for a lot of people but he's dropped $118k since then.
I'm far more likely to take that punt now due to the reduced cost. The only things that have changed since Pre Season are that he (and the Roosters as a whole), have had a slow start and poor form. He also looks to be over the rib injury.
Turpin no longer on the bench is the point that really got me interested though.
If he can net me 40 points in 60ish minutes, I'm laughing.

I've now traded him out twice in 12 months due to scores not being good enough
I know his role constantly changes, and he's had some injury concerns this year, but he has a lot of sub35 scores playing 50+ minutes in the last 2 years.
More poor scores than good.
At some point he'll get cheap enough, and go on a run of big scores to make it worthwhile, but its not necessarily easy to predict when that will happen. Is it worth getting 3 weeks of 60s if there are 4 weeks of 32 around that
At some point you have to accept players aren't as good as you want them to be. Is Brandon Smith at that point yet?

There’s genuinely no MID between Smith and McInnes price that I would buy now
I’m buying Smith as the alternative was cash cow MID, none of which are super appealing and they would be in my 17

J Brailey
Haas, Tapine, Hopgood
Katoa, Hosking
Cleary, Burton
Hammer, Alamotai
Walsh, Miller, Turbo
Boyd, Preston, Lerio, Warbrick
I Katoa, HSS, Hands
Looking this week to obviously trade Brailey, Hopgood and Burton for Mahoney, Couchman and Hynes. What does everyone reckon?
Robson’s average is 60?Contrastinghobby wrote:
Well if you are playing the average and to use that example, is a 44 pts average worth it?
People seem happy with Robson doing that (At a higher price point)
Bye points perhaps increase that average higher too if the alternative player doesn't play
