I'm looking towards Lane too. Slightly worried about him getting Origin if Angus isn't ready and Martin isn't fit. Would defeat the whole object and mean a pretty quick trade back out.

I believe they are hoping that they'll get people who go to the AFL ANZAC game across the road to double up and watch the Storm too before they go home. Plus TV and all that

They should let the Warriors host one year though

It’s ridiculous on a school night, I have to be on site at 5am tomorrow so I won’t be watching the second game

It would’ve made more sense to have a Monday night game. I’m sure they could’ve still grifted off the memory of fallen soldiers that way too

No way he's risked if it's a genuine strain, he's way too important to that team to risk.

I agree, I hate groin injuries, they tend to linger if not looked after

Isn't Thursday a school night? - that they play on every week?
Seems this one is a bit more sociable by starting an hour earlier?

Just logged on to find people discussing fantasy football. Come on, we can be better than that….how about a round table on the impact of the gig economy and zero hours contracts on the social contract? 😂

Or football is good too I suppose

Say it ain’t so mister……I think I’ll just crack the scab off the vinyl reissue of Magic Dirts ‘young and full of the devil’ that arrived in the post yesterday.

I for one am shocked that the man that defended Tyrone May with his life supports a misogynist. I reckon about 3/4 of the current crop of NRL boys would be Tate fans

I've done a bunch of hiring recently and it's damn hard to find people, and good ones mean paying overs and early promotions. Under 5% unemployment is a tough new world. It needs a special sort of media/political environment to worry about worker rights when it's raining jobs. Still, unionists gonna union regardless I guess.

Yes but no one is working today so they have the option to play them earlier is the difference. Thursdays most people work

Regulator wrote:If the Tigers continue to lose then it's really more reason to play Bula because they have nothing to gain and may as well give the youth some time developing.

It's not like they have other fullbacks knocking on the door. They had Laurie who it looks clear they've decided isn't there guy. And if that's the case, there's no value to bringing Laurie in for them in a season where they are fucked.

I think on Ponga we all know the risks but the potential value for that cost is just too much good to pass up. Fullback is a bit of a mess anyway.

Not sure if it's been mentioned previously but Laurie's fantasy numbers from NSW Cup on Sunday were exceptional in the halves.
204 Run Metres, 2 Line Breaks, 2 Line Break Assists, 2 Try Assists and most importantly 69 fantasy points.

Wakeham being one of the Tigers worst on the weekend (imo) might expedite his return to first grade at his expense and not Bula's.

Best time to do it 😂

Although I suspect you are hiring from the same tiny paddling pool as me.

Had to downsize at one of the startups in the new year due to ‘evolving’ funding environment. One week after a couple of their colleagues were laid off had one of the engineers ask to go to 4 days a week so they had time to work on their own projects 😂…..room read
