Not doing Katoa to Manu a shocker for me. Besides the points and cash there, I now have CNK to deal with as well. Plus Warbrick peaked. That's going from maybe 0 to maybe 3 sells in 1 game. On top of that - Haas, Turbo, Cleary rumour, does Null lose his spot... it's all happening.

Only people happy about Cleary (Potentially) being out is Hynes owners

The rest of us are going to be well and truly on the back foot, especially if you have Haas as well

A lot of the Hynes owners I've seen have him instead of SJ, not instead of Cleary, so they'd be affected as well.

I don't have Hynes but if Cleary's out, Fifita's an easy option to captain given his insane base and high upside (plus he's running at the elite Manly defensive edge of Olakau'atu, DCE, Harper and Saab, which famously has never been destroyed by a big man running wide before)

Have to consider just flipping Cleary to Hynes?

The annoying thing is that likely they get Hynes this round, who has been a great POD.

He's only a great POD if you have both Cleary and Hynes (and then you're sacrificing somewhere). If it's Hynes instead of Cleary I think it's pretty much come out in wash. Not bad, but not good/great, especially with the additional cost.

    Hynes last 4 game average = 78
    Cleary last 4 games average = 75

They've basically been cancelling each other out.

Maybe more of a POD for those that own both but I suspect a lot have been suffering elsewhere in their teams with all that cash tied up.

    SJ

    Ford
    Niukore
Curran (I think Bunty has played lock before though)

    Lussick
    Ale
    Sifakula
    Zyon Maiu'u

I'm really scratching the bottom of the barrel here, I don't know who else we have?

No idea who Zyon is but I love the name and hope he gets picked

Was gonna say Cleary would be a nice loop for Niko/Oloapu but bloody SJ on the bench ruins that

Maybe more of a POD for those that own both but I suspect a lot have been suffering elsewhere in their teams with all that cash tied up.

    If you were deciding between the two at Round 5 (after watching Hynes first game back to check for any lingering signs of the injury that caused him to miss the first 3 games) then;
Cleary from R5 on: average 75.0
Hynes from R5 on: average 71.3

Cleary total points in that time: 300
Hynes total points in that time: 214

Cleary cost at R5; $878k ($70k gain since)
Hynes cost at R5; $1002k ($17k gain since)

There's no disputing Hynes is a great player to watch and own, but calling him a great POD over Cleary for that period seems a bit of a stretch.

Hynes is a great POD over simply not having Hynes - but then he's giving you the scores you're paying for and not much more.
Like you say, sometimes that mil can stretch out and return pretty well on alternative players... (e.g. if you went SJ & Hosking vs Hynes & NPR)
