It’s like the Cowboys are tanking. Are they introducing draft picks next season?

Granville into the starting side with Cotter to bench as expected. How many minutes are we predicting against a dominant Sharkies pack?

Well sounds like a long wait for my dominant half to retire then haha

Cotter benched is just saving an interchange because he’ll come on after 15-20 and play out the game whereas they’d be using 2 interchanges if he started to sub off and onLiverpool_Bulldog wrote:It’s like the Cowboys are tanking. Are they introducing draft picks next season?

I'd measure it in tackles, not minutes. High 30s tackles, with 2-3 misses like the last couple of weeks. With run meters and a TB, he hits around 40 again.

looking at a last minute Granville in.
Last time I picked up a low 300k mid last minute who has been getting more minutes then normal and scoring better then normal.
I ended up with Couchman

That's a bit of a stretch. Robson has hit 70+ three times this season. He is down about 10 tackles a game at the moment and about 2 misses per game and not running as much (due to forwards not getting quick ptb). It won't take much for him to covert to 60s, whilst Granny won't take much to revert to 20s.
Granville averaging 40 in his big minute role the last couple of weeks. Robson more 30s and 40s than 70s. Wouldnt want to be paying $700k+ for a guy that is going to have lots of 30s and 40s when I can get that for $300k.
Robson has precisely 1 score in the 30s this year
7 of his 8 scores have been better than than Granville's highest.
When you say he's averaged 40 the "last couple" of weeks. That is literally only the last 2 weeks - and it follows a first 6 round average of 18.
Last year in games over 30 minutes (4 of his 14 appearances were over30 minutes) he averaged 19.
When Cowboys are all fit, Granville has a ~30 minute bench role. Robson has an 80 minute hooker role.
Granville is much, much cheaper so he has that going for him, but he is doing well at the moment due to injury cover, and that's it. He is not about to become a long term big minute option in a team that has a fit Taumalolo and Cotter

Even without injuries - how many weeks will Sam Walker be given in NSW cup?
Do Roosters still see him as long term option? or will they move him on at the end of the year
He becomes their dominant half when Keary retires.
Do you think that will happen by round 12?

Did anyone pick up on the interview Payten did about him leaving two players on the bench? Said he'd constructed his interchanges to keep McLean on for as long as possible but because match fitness coming back from injury he could only do short shifts. But then the Nanai HIA/nerve injury complicated things.
Don't know exactly what that means for Granville, but just putting the info out there that last week was unusual for Cowboys interchanges for a couple of reasons. He spent four interchanges on McLean alone.

Unlikely. If Roosters want to have a chance of winning the comp this season, they need a match winner in Manu at 6, he is wasted at CTR.

Need help.
Was going to trade in the Cheese, but already picking up Manu and am starting to trade towards Rd.13.
Can someone tell me why Cheese is still better than Curran (assuming Tohu is out 3-4 weeks).
If not Curran. Any Mid / Edge up to $600k you can recommend, especially if they play Rd.13?

Yeah, but looking like for the next 4 weeks Lolo is out, then Cotter plays Origin in 13 and 16, so Granville gains cash, a potential loop in if he gets any bonus scoring on top of being a tackle bot, and get his scoring in key bye rounds.

Got Cheese and Manu last week. Could get Curran this week but don't trust with Barnett supposed to be back Rd 11. I'd look at Manu and Cheese as good options if didn't already own

Couchman has season long promise, he will eventually surpass BMM imho.
Granville is obv trusted by the coach, with his BE and position, he is an absolute easy buy.
Sure he might tank, but he will play minutes over origin and even if he just gets to low 400k he is worth the cash out to bring in someone like DFifi like I have done, and still off a nuffy like Warbrick.

But unlikely to make 30-40 tackles if only playing 40 minutes. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out, are you looping him or putting him straight in the 17?
