I left it cryptic on purpose so no one can trade in Debut before I do

None what’s so ever. Someone on Twitter suggested they might because they have the tigers and it’s blown up from there.

Panthers are currently 4 and 3 so it’s not like they’re 7-0 and can afford to rest players 8 games into their season

I was just discussing what would happen, but I agree, I cannot see them simply resting him. That screams complacency and not something you want to encourage.

Yeah if the score blows out he might have an early shower, but thats game dependant.

I have a strange feeling the Tigers wont be push-overs. Maybe last 20 mins Panthers rack up some points but I think the first half will be a tight battle. Basing this on SFA

    Crossland katoa couchman Alamoti

With dunster and bula waiting in the reserves

Boyd, IKat, Alamoti, Niko/Bula in the loop

Predicting quite the rank drop with having no Hynes and him gunning it and Haas and Grant not available for me this week

I agree the tigers won’t be push overs. Tigers and their fans hate Ivan the terrible and Ivan loves getting up the tigers so it’ll be a good match

Tigers actually looked both up for it and slightly less terrible than they have been in the 2nd half against Manly last week (in saying that Manly didn't look that crash hot). They lacked a bit of confidence and a bit of polish so there's every possibility that the 2023 Panthers don't have it all their own way.

There is a possibility that he's out, the Panthers are going to make a call on it today. Cogger hasn't been named in the NSW cup as a pre-caution. In any case it's likely that Cleary won't be doing the bulk of the kicking like last round.
Gut feel is that Cleary will play

If Cleary is out I'm running

    Couchman IKatoa Niko Granville (25)

    I think I win/lose

thats what happens when you have 200k in the Bank, Hynes in the squad and $1.8m sitting on the pine in Cleary/Haas.

Was listening to the game on MMM on the way back home from soccer last night and forgot to switch stations before I jumped out. Got in the car just now to go pick up some lunch and the song playing was 'Working Class Man'.....I don't reckon that station has altered their playlist much since the 1980's other than to add a few Foo Fighters and RHCP tunes

Asked Mrs Aardvark to guess the song (she wasn't in the car) and she got it in one

I found it peculiar that Chin did general kicking but not gk, don’t think it’s the first time I’ve seen it happen though.
I can’t understand how one is more detrimental than the other.

I think it's to do with the planting of the foot. I'm sure someone smarter than me could explain it technically.
All I remember from my playing days is that it was never comfortable place kicking if I had a hammy strain.

For all the rhetoric around how terrible the Tigers are, they haven't been that bad.
    Sure, they're not looking like having the polish to win games, and their attack is clunky as, but that aside, they've been in most games they've played this year;

Lost 4 games by 6 points or less, 2 by 12 points and the other was a blow-out
If there were points for winning the second-half (there isn't) then they would have some points - I know that's a mostly redundant statement, but it does show that, in most instances, they have some character and haven't just packed their bags and gone home when they're behind (pretty much every game).

Unfortunately for them, they have a below average halfback in arguably career-worst form - even a moderate level controlling half may have been enough to chalk a couple of wins.

If Penrith are "on" then Tigers could get routed, but I suspect it's just a get the job done win for the Panthers (I have a crazy molecule of hope for an upset, but always do)
