Need a mid, want Manu.
Qn: Anyone think Manu not worth chasing? Currently my back 5 lines up as:
Bird, Alamoti
Teddy, Trbo, Miller /Sloan, Warbrick
Alomoti to Manu quite the upgrade.

I think it's to do with the planting of the foot. I'm sure someone smarter than me could explain it technically.
All I remember from my playing days is that it was never comfortable place kicking if I had a hammy strain.

For all the rhetoric around how terrible the Tigers are, they haven't been that bad.
Sure, they're not looking like having the polish to win games, and their attack is clunky as, but that aside, they've been in most games they've played this year;
Lost 4 games by 6 points or less, 2 by 12 points and the other was a blow-out
If there were points for winning the second-half (there isn't) then they would have some points - I know that's a mostly redundant statement, but it does show that, in most instances, they have some character and haven't just packed their bags and gone home when they're behind (pretty much every game).
Unfortunately for them, they have a below average halfback in arguably career-worst form - even a moderate level controlling half may have been enough to chalk a couple of wins.
If Penrith are "on" then Tigers could get routed, but I suspect it's just a get the job done win for the Panthers (I have a crazy molecule of hope for an upset, but always do)
Manu playing as advertised at 6. As long as he holds that spot will be a must have. The risk is that he doesn't hold the spot,but even then will get games at fullback and is a pretty decent centerJumping Marlin wrote:Another Friday arvo spinning wheels trying fruitlessly to find the perfect trade that just won’t work…

Started to type out something similar, but less eloquently. Swap Brooks and Cleary and it’s a different ballgame.
Poor Alamoti doesn’t even get the within 10 points treatmentJumping Marlin wrote:Another Friday arvo spinning wheels trying fruitlessly to find the perfect trade that just won’t work…

Rabbitohs Members and Supporters it’s that time of week again it’s Game Day. It’s a tough away game as the boys make the trek up to Suncorp to take on the high flying Broncos. Our boys are gonna get another good test this week. The Broncos have been flying high leading the NRL and they deserve to be. For us we are looking to make it 4 wins on the trot. It’s certainly another massive test. We have plenty of members and fans in QLD and I’m sure many of those are looking forward to being at Suncorp tomorrow night. So it’s 1 v 4 (us 4th). A win would consolidate our spot in the top 4. We would be well placed at 6 and 3.
Looking at Brisbane they are without Haas and Mam for this one but they still have a very good side. Walsh has been on fire pit the back and they have so much strike in the backs with Farnworth, Cobbo and Staggs plus a strong forward pack that has been churning out the metres and winning the battle in the middle and Reyno who has been playing very well off the back of it and controlling things. They have been playing with a freedom about them with a point to prove so we need to be alert across the park.
For us I’ll be interested to see how we go coming off the high off last week we have to start from scratch again this week. I hope the boys don’t come out flat we need to make sure that does t happen. Last two week we have completed at 80-85percent so that is key once more. Make silly errors Brisbane will punish us. We need to stop the offloads as well Brisbane love to throw offloads and play of second phase play. Getting Junior back is a big boost for us in the middle. As long as we play South Sydney football we will be right in the game and have a good shot at winning it. Building pressure will be key too and not trying to score off every play and giving them cheap piggy back penalties as well. Reyno got 2 wins over us last year I think so now it’s time to return that favour.
SO WHETHER AT SUNCORP OR AT HOME ALL RABBITOHS MEMBERS AND SUPPORTERS ON YA FEET JUST BEFORE 8PM TODAY. SHOUT AND CHEER YOURSELF HOARSE LETS GO AND GET THESE BRONX AND BRING HOME THE 2 POINTS IN STYLE WE CAN DO IT LETS START THE WEEKEND OFF IN STYLE! GLORY GLORY SHOULDER TO SHOULDER WE STAND LETS GO RABBITOHS!

This got me thinking. If you could have one of Hynes or Cleary in your NRL team, who would you pick? Hynes has closed the gap enormously.

I feel like your heart isn't really in it this week.
So, I give this about a 5/10 on the Rabbits scale of GDP's (Game day previews)
Key points;
- Needs more Trell
- I like the idea of Walsh on a fire pit (I know it was a typo, but I liked the imagery)
- Reynolds.
This feels like a story where you were with your partner for a long time, but she was getting older and things had become predictable.
You weren't ready to commit more years, you couldn't see yourself growing old together, so you started looking around, spotted a younger alternative, they were exciting and full of potential, and so you broke it to her. You could maybe offer her the next year but didn't know where you wanted to be after that.
Well she moved away, she left to live hew happy ever after life in Brisbane, until one day you found yourselves in the same place, you could see how happy she now is, how she's landed on her feet and made a new home for herself, a new life maybe even a better life, and then you realise, you'd let go the love of your life.
And you look across, and there sits Lachlan Ilias, so you wait, biding time until you can go out and party with Jack W

I was going to put that if you swapped Brooks and DCE in the last game (they're both on similar coin) and the Tigers win by 20
I've never been a Brooks-basher, but their halves are causing a lot of drag in that team.

There is a possibility that he's out, the Panthers are going to make a call on it today. Cogger hasn't been named in the NSW cup as a pre-caution. In any case it's likely that Cleary won't be doing the bulk of the kicking like last round.
Gut feel is that Cleary will play
