I think "better" is subjective. This arrangement is harder which I personally like. More room for skill expression as it were. (I'm not doing all that well this season for context but in general I think the harder the game the better)

While that’s true, it’s rubbish for growth for casual fans. People who have no idea what they’re doing are going to be bamboozled how everything works

Is Cheese confirmed out or still just speculation at this point?

If he is out then I may just trade him straight back out (like I have the last two times I've owned him lol! ) and keep Walsh instead (the news of Jurbo out makes me think Manly are screwed this week)

MF wrote:SuperCoach Ofcourse doing it better than fantasy. They have it on their bye rounds that you set a 17 and they just take the 13 highest scorers. Way better than just the starting 13. Really want to bring Robson in but there’s no point since I have JMK

way better or just way easier?

Being able to just name a team of Halves and Edges etc.. in the bye doesn't ring true to what Fantasy Football is about which is you picking a squad of players. It actually incentivises you to pick up an excess number of players in fantasy friendly positions.

I like the this comp has a greater level of tactics.

I say this is an AFL fan who has been playing AFL Fantasy for 15+ years and now plays NRL Fantasy as my main comp because of in my opinion its superior fantasy strategy.

Obviously all opinion but not just taking 13 players is way better in my mind.

I'm thinking about Cleary to Hynes. Want to keep Difita and Haas who are the other plays to Hynes.

Anyone else out of 2rfs? Just have Preston, Ford, and Lemonelu + Bird in the centres. Can't get rid of Preston without being forced to play Alamoti! Young's looking like a nice R13 edge to bring in

You don't think Cleary is? Or just the origin factor

Origin shouldn't affect Cleary too much, his byes are rounds he'd miss anyway (13 and 19) and his turnarounds in 14/17/20 are all pretty long. I can't imagine him missing more than one of those three rounds unless he were to get concussed

Yeah, Penrith aren't in the situation they've been in for the last couple of years where they're cruising at the top of the table and can mass-rest their Origin players with no risk of missing the top two/four.

Not sure what to do this week yet but early thoughts are Preston, Alamoti, Staggs to DBrown, Tatola and Campbell.

    Boyd
    Tapine Haas JdB
    Hosking Hopgood
    Cleary SJ
    Bird Manu
    Hammer Drinky Campbell

    Tatola Ford DBrown (Miller)
    Bula Granville Couchman Cheese

If Cheese does play probably loop Ford and Bula.

Can't get Hynes without giving up a bunch of value and my cash gen has started to stall pretty badly so it is what it is, maybe he gets the flu.
Horse is interesting but I already have a bunch of mids and think Tatola offers much better value, punt on him staying healthy I guess.
Tapine can stay for the season, don't think he's worth selling now.
    Campbell is fun to watch.
Need another Eel and DBrowns post game interview about getting a kick up the arse from BA sounds like motivation enough to last a few rounds.
I really like how Staggs plays and he's fun to watch but think it's time to admit defeat, 3x 20 something scores in a row is no good.

AJ goes for scans tomorrow I too am interested in bringing Campbell in if it’s longer than a few weeks. The bench roles really help him bottom out his price
