Also in the form of his life!

With Ofa holding a big minute MID spot, I would expect Matterson to get that EDG when back.

    You got Oloapu already?

Sam Fainu? Gamble that Metcalf holds his spot?

    Yeah got Oloapu

Those other 2 are interesting but both gambles on JS. If I had more trades I’d take a punt on Metcalf but because I’m low then I need to see if TMM takes the spot back

Yeah I probably wouldn’t either. I’m likely getting Olopau this week or next

Oh just noticed I did something dumb

Have Granville on bench. Was selling if he’s benched but if he starts at lock was going to take a look and reverse Boyd to Cook to get his score of it’s decent. Except I vc’d Cook

My tentative plan in the coming weeks is Host/Niko/HEdwards to gun/gun/cow

Just need to wait what turns up for the cow option I guess. Have time to let HEdwards get milked too

You're assuming Ofa plays big mins in the middle, also who plays on the other edge then?

Davey/Doorey? I'd have them behind carty on form

Davey already has the spot over Carty.

Eels have brought in Ofa because they knew he was being under-utilised at Tigers, will have a big minute role.

Cartright did get benched as soon as Davey arrived.

I think its 50/50 on whether Matto will play some edge. Ideally Arthur wants him as a middle and Matto wants to play there. But yeah Matto instead of Carty temporarily is probably a good idea.

Its more that they are lacking mids atm and Tigers wanted his contract off their books.

Ofa is.. pretty average. not worth 600k a year.

He'll be bog average bench prop 35 mins a game when they're back at full strength

Carty did get benched but matto has been benched also hopgood. Doesn't necessarily mean they've lost their spot.

At full strength who knows who starts and is benched. Doesn't stop carty being a good option over the origin period

Its just the Tigers, but Ofa did get our player of the year last year

That said, I'm pretty sure at full strength he won't be getting a big minute role at Parra. RCG, Paulo, Hopgood and matto all ahead of him.
Will be handy for them in the short/medium term with their current injuries/origin outs

BA prefers to play Carty of the bench as an impact player, but with Jr Paulo at Origin, I expect Carty to get big mins on the Edge for the Origin period. Ofa to fill in for Paulo & RCG in the middle in the short term, Matto also playing middle during Origin rounds.
Also Carty can still have a good score of the bench

Not sure if VTW is going to be a permanent fixture on the Phins bench, or was it a one off to cover Brenko.

Anyone condsidering holding Miller if not on Bench (avoids huge price drop) especially if getting Ponga to make sure he gets through unscathed?

Also get a look at Origin 1 result/performance to better judge if Ponga is back in the selection frame
