Normally when I do bumps like this, the top options just end up still tied at higher vote counts, but lets see how we go

    Everything is pretty much sorted

The tie I am trying to break is Jarty, Sandon or Hands as the cashout this week

(slight possibility Haas could overtake Grant as the upgrade)

So if people want to break that tie, please do so I can get the captaincy poll up.

I've been looking for a cheapish player but don't want to take a risky move this late in the season. So I've put together a list of shittos who have played nearly every week and could get me 20 10  points in a pinch.  Unfortunately, I don't like any of them all that much.

    I've ** the ones who play R19.

**Jed Cartwright $221k Rabbitohs EDG, CTR – played 12 rounds - Might be starting this week, usually gets limited minutes.  Passes the “is he better than Burbo test” for me, but only just! Has been discussed at length on the forum, use the search function if you want to know more.

**Bailey Sironen $238k Warriors EDG – played 12 rounds – Highest score is 30, lowest 8.

Bronson Garlick $247k Storm HOK, MID – played 13 rounds – Will get you 20 most of the time. I don’t want to hear about how he’s a handcuff for Grant. If you’re hooker is out, play your cover. Bronson Garlick is not your cover, he’s just a cheap option you bought to afford [insert gun name here]

Soni Luke $253k Panthers HOK – played 12 rounds – averages 21, you could do worse

Jaemon Salmon $254k Panthers HLF, EDG – played 13 rounds – “weak gutted dog”. For those with recency bias, he got 61 last week. There are a lot of scores below 20 in his other appearances. Not for Papa.

“Mad” Jack Hetherington $270k Knights MID - played 14 rounds - managed to avoid suspension this year, likely due to only getting 15-20 minutes a game. Will get you about 20 if he doesn’t get binned.  "Fun" to watch

Xavier Coates $276k Storm WFB – played 12 rounds – scores better with tries, can score 8 points if he doesn’t get tries

**Brendan Hands $308k Eels HOK, HLF - played 12 rounds - scores better in 80, will Hodgson be back? I actually like this as an option, thanks Milch.

**Tom Starling $311k Raider HOK - played 14 rounds - currently behind Woolford for minutes but usually gets a run. Averaging 30 but has been getting fewer and fewer minutes.  Don't do it.

**Pasami Saulo $324k Raider MID - played 14 rounds - Bench but an injury could see him get more minutes, will probably get you 20, could go higher. I'd consider if he was cheaper

**Erin Clark $335k Titans HOK, MID -  played 12 rounds – no more byes – will probably get you 20 if you need to play him.

**Seb Kris $337k Raiders WFB, CTR - played 13 rounds - Good job security, scores range from 6-60 but will probably get you 20-30.

**Tyrell Sloan $345k Dragons WFB –  played 14 rounds – can score a 50 with a try, can also score 8 points in 80 minutes.

    The notable riskier options:
Sandon Smith $223k Roosters HLF - played 3 rounds - how long until Sam Walker is back?
**Brayden McGrady $230k Dolphins WFB, CTR - played 0 rounds - has he replaced Niu or is he back to Ressies next week? Too much uncertainty for Papa.

For me, I'm leaning towards Jed as a cashout and centre cover. If he gets benched, he'll still score 20 more points than Burbo has been getting me.  Does anyone know if there's someone returning from injury and if he's a chance to lose his spot somehow?

Thought about captaining SJ but tonights game is the kind of game the Warriors usually blow, playing against an unfavoured opposition. Might be different this season but not sure if I will take the chance.

    @Papadontbleach

2 of the more tempting cashouts aren't on your list
Sandon Smith (how long until Sam Walker is back?)
Brendan Hands (is Hodgson a spent force for the year)

Those 2 and Cartwright are who I am considering

And the dark horse is McGrady
1 week wonder? or genuine DPP cashout

Thanks Milch, I only considered players with slighlty less risk - that is they've played most rounds but I missed Hands. I'll add those above to my list though for those with more risk appetite than this fantasy plodder.

Yeah McGrady is intriguing to me. As long as there's no other late outs I may just be able to wait until next week on the cashout front to see if McGrady is still there.

I actually think Sloan is the best of the other options... despite how disgusting it was owning him earlier in the year (after his red hot start) he doesn't appear to be going anywhere and can put up an occasional good scores amongst the shit (just hope you get lucky when you have to play him).

These are the only ones I am considering and I am stuck.

So much ambiguity around timelines of Hodgson and Sam Walker really making it hard

For DFS purposes, anyone want to have a crack at the top scoring 13 for this week?

Ignore the injury last game and his average for the last 5 games before that is 71.

Would be a bit of a mission to put together actual stats of players having another concussion in the return game from one. I haven’t owned JDB this year but figure there’s a generic stat somewhere maybe.

It wasn’t a run of the mill concussion, bloke was in a pretty bad way.

That could be an accurate portrayal. Also, I tend to talk out what I’m about to type, and in this instance, it sounded so good bellowing that phrase at the top of lungs, whilst having a fist raised to the sky, my other arm, obviously, taking the shape of a teapot handle.

Pick up Hands only for him to have the bye and then Hodgson back for round 19? sounds good

    Spoiler:

DALL-E struggled with teapot handle arm, but close enough. I think it got your nose particularly right.

De Belin's concussion was 3 weeks ago. If he's passed all the tests to be good enough to play, I'm not too worried about it from a captaincy point of view

Trade in Hands to get a R19 hooker, then find Cook dropped from origin game 3
