Seen far too much ‘chatter’ saying that he’s gone when a forward or two return which could be next week.

They have a couple of first grade forwards on the extended bench this week, so things could change before kick off...

But after those two.. its just Royce Hunt missing isnt it?

Burns and Hau Tapuha probably drop off if Rudolf/Hamlin Uele are both good to go.

I don't think its certain that Iro is locked in long term, but i'm willing to gamble on the odds being better than he just drops out when forwards are back.

Also that snippet about Talakai happy to play in the forwards and doing the 'team thing'.. grain of salt stuff i know..

Might have to keep an eye on coach's media this week and read into things that aren't there.

EDIT BCT beat me to it lol.. and i didnt realise FINUCANE wasn't named lol.

EDIT2 no way for me to wait, have to make the trade before lockout thursday so that I can get Hynes in as C.

I'm liking CNK tbh. However I do have Tedesco and might make that trade, however could also just run Talau in WFB and bring in someone else that isn't a WFB

And I forgot about Hunt lol

Actually going to be quite a fight for spots there, Kaufusi or Williams would need to drop out as well if its to all go Iro's way.

Horse out 6-8 weeks. Selling Hosking really going to backfire. Hope Fifi starts going huge to make it worth it

Don't have him in my "proper" team but I do in Auto-Fill and I'm holding. Absolutely zero chance he'll be out for more than a (non-bye) week, if it is even a week, I reckon. Could be wrong, but surely not.

Shit that this happens before a bye, making it two weeks... but surely he's still a chance to come in late, though that would make even less sense. Coach seems an absolute dickhead.

Big result for Smithies holders (not me). Probably makes him a buy not just a hold.

Anyone getting on Pete, or we liking cookie to come back in soon.

I was hooked on Pete after hearing he was back last training session and now Cook dumped. Coincidence I think not.

    Thanks heaps to everyone who voted on this. For anyone else interested, result is currently;

    TU - 9
    TD - 7

Which still has me in two minds.

One thing I hadn't really factored in is the Raiders playing the Titans this weekend. I'm actually curious to hear from a few TD voters (because at the moment I'm on the TU side too).

Is it just a case of not trading out a green dot, especially with a low BE, on a try scoring blitz, playing the Titans?

Is it a distrust that Angus is actually a slam dunk trade in?

Is it that Chevy could put on a big score against Titans so it's best to bring him in this week, and keep Levi and hope they both score well and just bring in Angus next week if he makes it through unscathed (by Robbo's antics)?

If I hold Levi, I actually need to think about who to leave out this week for the first time in three weeks, as I'd have 18 players. I guess Hughes is an easy loop option.

Funny how the game swings like that. I was certain last week that Smithies was going to gone from my team this week.

I'd be personally amazed if Cook is out for more than one (non-bye) week, if even that. Especially if they get a new coach who's more interested in fielding his best players every week.

Rudolf and BHU are both in the reserves so could come in this week yet. You would think they will just come in for Hau Tapuha and Burns but who knows.

Would be nice if the Sharks played earlier, if I was to go for Iro I wouldn't be able to reverse as that trade would be funding for Hynes trade who would be locked as C.

Personally I think its more likely this was a genuine choice by the coach of Iro at CTR and Talakai bench and not driven by forwards injuries, but its certainly not without some risk.

Edit - the next question would be who makes way for Finucane when he's back too

Just feel like there are far too many question marks. I have Kris/Strange at CTR as well so would kinda need any other CTRs I buy to be 100% available during their bye. Bought Talagi hoping he would be available and don’t think I can afford another miss

Are you a Cleary holder? Wary of owning both Cleary and Hynes with how terrible the rest of the team looks

A combo of thinking it's too soon to trade Levi out, and being worried Angus gets ~50 minutes and scores 30.
If Sitili weren't on the bench I'd be all over Angus. Think I'm going to wait one more week on Angus to see what happens with minutes

Yeah feels like possibly trading in two new issues. Wondering about Sitili + Blaize to Angus + Chester. Limit the potential issues to one

    Trade outs this year

R2: Tatola (arguably luxury but not great role)
R3: Luki (injured) and Wong (dropped)
R4: Cleary (injured) and Kini (dropped)
R5: Burbo (peaked) and Chan (injured/dropped)
R6: Rapana (injured) and Sitili (benched/dropped)

I wonder what trades will be forced next

    Chan & Sitili out
    Iro & Stewart in

Option B. I get Campbell over Angus and get Angus next week. Get Iro as second option

Option C… forget Iro altogether and go Talagi to Angus and Hutcho to Campbell get two good guys then look at Stewart next week and maybe Burbo to Chester.

    That’s my 3 options

I am in a very similar predicament. Before the cheapies were named, my trades were Rapana to JC and Chan to Angus. With Iro and Chevvy named I am tossing up between:

TU - Rapana to JC and Chan to Angus. Means that I will play Kris, Strange, Turbo, Papy, JC
TD - Rapana to Iro and Chan to Angus. Means that I will play Iro, Strange, Turbo, Papy, Kris

With both options I will have a look at Chevvy this week and potentially trade him in for Round 7.
