Haha, must admit I'd not considered Meaney. Is that who you have, cob? Looks like Garrick, but with a higher BE. Not really the price range I'm looking at for a CTR unless his name starts with a Euan and ends with an Aitken. Wink

I do have interest in Alamoti, though, as well as Wighton, if concrete news comes out about any type of Turuva situation.

And yes, Iro is my #2 CTR at the moment.

EDIT - well, Iro is my #1 CTR, clearly, but my second CTR, I should have said.

No, just looking at Meaney, but it's really just unnecessary fiddling. I have Iro, Suli, and a couple DPP's like Lomax and Garrick, Manu. DPP'ing up on purpose this year.

Yeh I was keen on Aitken a few weeks back, but the role uncertainty and other players unclear return time put that off. Alamoti could be a nice POD.

I'd understand it if SJ was out with his injury, but he could very likely score as well as, or better than Cleary leading up to R13. Cleary's price could drop too, closer to SJ's.

Up to you, but right now, seems sideways without any real urgency that it needs to happen now?

Just gut feel I guess, Strong feeling TLT will change all plans tho lol

Stacked. Yeah, I was close to getting Lomax a few weeks ago. Opportunity missed. He and Manu would be delicious team members. Nicely played, and 100% understand why you’d move on from Strange too, with that collection.

Speaking of CTRs now that May has dropped a bit of cash I’m looking closely. DPP plays 13 & 14. Chance of 1 big score and 4 or 5 Ho hum scores 🙃

Yeah, he's on my list too, but same situation as the other guys. Still probably well above $100K over what I actually want to pay for him. Will keep track of the price drops, though.

I hear what Ur saying and that you go through the process literally and it doesn't feel worth doing.. but I'd just force yourself to make the most practical or logical trades this week. Ideally come this time next week even if just a smallish improvement or a little win or two it could change your outlook going into week 11.

Solid advice, but I dunno how successful I’ll be at following, I can’t get to anything that feels logical because the moment I think about taking out or putting anyone in my team I’m already talking myself out of it, with my conditions I have a predication for self-loathing so that’s nothing new, but I think having the visual of seeing Hynes in my team with the orange border 15 minutes before lock-out, then reversing trades and going back to my original plan which turned out to be a shit idea not only in comparison, but just in general aswell, has really knocked me this time around.

Just focus on small goals, like even gaining a few ranks is slightly better. Or trade in someone you enjoy watching to make the games better. Or start going for different picks like the 1.53% owned Fifta or .067% owned Wilton. They’re both scoring well and might be god to have someone different from everyone else.

Sooo are we all just gonna keep using 2-3 trades a week? I've never burnt through trades like this before, but it seems like there are must haves every week

It's always funny, the centre talk as often it's a wasted area to put any time into. I start most years just 'set and forget' approach with centre, just two guys who look like they will play/stay and bang out 30 every week, hence have them under 450k or so. But with DPP temptations and form or price dips it's always tempting to improve.

Prime candidate. There may be hell to pay tomorrow with all this centre talk.

I've made at least 1 trade every week, but have banked a couple of trades by not always max trading. I do feel that my team might have been in a better position if I'd spent the trades though. Hope the patience pays off later in the season

I saved my first trade last week, but definitely using all three this week. Will need a CTR for next week and attend to whatever else arises, but starting to see a point to all these trades, hopefully, and planning to slowly start winding them back in coming weeks, all going well.

Which is just asking for complications, surely.

There's still a "fantasy by the numbers" round-up on the homepage, if that's what you're looking for?

I’ve saved 4 trades so far this year, however I have traded in a couple of players who would go on to get injured(JC, Chester). I cannot say without complete conviction that had I made a couple of trades in round 6 I would be in a better position than I am now. Although, a big part of where I stand currently is making Papy captain in round 5, where Ponga would have been the correct choice for my team that week.

That being said, I’m using three this week.

I've max traded and I'm struggling to see any outs that have been wasted or where I wish I'd kept them, but a couple of the ins (Talagi, Lussick) have been very bad and needed to go straight back out again. So I should have saved some trades that way.

Not going to trade other than for injuries/droppings in next few weeks though. If any player hits a run of bad scores, will just have to be disciplined and take it.

I've saved three trades, still ranked higher than an albatross on lsd though.

But hey! I'm briefly top of L8 so I've got that going for me.
