Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 42
Jeez I've really had a mixed bag with my somewhat recent trades. Munster, JDB, Merrin, Cleary... I think with 9 trades left I'm committed to them all now though, just gotta hope Munster returns soon and JDB somehow winds up playing 80 again (NFI how that's going to happen with the forward pack Dragons now have though) or discovers the secrets to 2ppm.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 42
I am in a heap of trouble now, too many players to cash out, not enough trades
actually considered going James - Merrin to free up $130,000 and pray James scores take a nose dive

Who to choose for my last WFB spot this week?
Barba or Gordon?
They are playing each other.
Gordon's recent averages have been much better. Barba probably has a higher potential.

Tedesco v CWalker
Tedesco runs the risk of an origin call up and has a bye rd 19 (so misses 2 games)
More injury prone and slightly cheaper, ownership is 21%
CWalker doesn't play Rd 18 but is in good form.
Worse case if he moves position it will be to the halves (As keary is gone next year) and still scores alright there. DPP is also handy to cover the halves if needed. Also 6% ownership

Any reason Tolman played the full 80 on the weekend?

From what I've observed him & Graham seem to alternate on the big minutes. But to answer your question I think it was because Mariner & Eastwood were out & Fine started so they were short of forwards who could play big minutes.

White Lightning wrote:At least the Storm play early in the round on Friday so one way or the other we'll know about Munster. I got him round 15 & if he's out this week & with a bye in round 18 that's 466k sitting on my bench for 4 games scoring zero points. White Lightning is not happy haha. Also the Storm forums have to be the most useless source of information out of all the clubs as there's never any news on there but I think it's more a reflection of Bellamy & the club being very closed doors & not sharing.
No one gives a fuck about the Storm. They get a token 30k for a grand final. It's so bad they were made a scapegoat for salary cap breaches, when the Broncos had been cheating the cap since inception. The NRL knew no one could care less about the Mexicans. If it had been the Bozos who were made to pay, as they should have, an entire state would have rebelled.
Hence, shit fan forum.

Good analysis. I did a similar thing with Munster vs Tedesco a few weeks back and chose Munster because he seemed less injury prone than Teddy
He was injured immediately, though I managed to reverse his trade before lockout.
I've traded in Walker this week, so we'll see if this trade is more successful.

Question is if Gutherson, Mitchell, Barba are all in your team and all play 18...what's the smart call to make? And more complicated still, I need to cash out Gutherson to afford to upgrade Barba, thats 2 for 1.

This is one of the reasons I'd prefer full shut-out at the start of the first game played each round.
If you think that Munster will play you can back your judgement and lock him in. Saves us all having to be on-line checking an hour before the game.
Would make AE even more important IMO
Yeah I'd prefer a full lockout at the start of the round too, but I would also like the AE system to be tweaked a bit to be less brutal and possibly have more than 1 available. It's hard to please everyone but with two kids under 4 and hectic weekends it's impossible to keep up with all late team changes and with the rankings so tight, a couple of late scratchings can be 100's of places down the ladder.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 42
not making a trade this week despite my wfbs being 3 parra players if munster doesnt play. also have to decide whether to start with jdb or cleary in my 17. its a tough call because jdb got promoted to start, but their pack is congested, while cleary looks the goods..
not sure what happened to turbo senior last night, but im hoping it was a soft knock in game. not as worried about getting rid of him because of how many fantasy teams have him.

I am going to keep all 3 of those you mentioned, all 3 can score alright on their day and no fear of losing their position anytime soon.
I am looking at getting rid of Norman, bit of a gamble but looks worse if he is on my bench not scoring and need to strengthen my back 3 after Lolohea shitting the bed and Munster #notinfiji

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 42
2 questions:
1. is it worth considering james this week - i want a premium forward and happy to pay premium price (who else - fifita?)
2. im sick of running mbye and milford - who to downgrade? thinking mbye. have dce and cleary as other halves.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 42
ok, this week's raggamuffins:
Smith(c)Parcell
Fifita Graham (JDB)
Surgess Merrin Mannering (Tauks) (ET)
Hunt Norman (Cleary)
Leilua Croker
Munster Tedesco Radradra
ranked 352.
Wondering if I should trade Tauks to PODene this round. Feels of silly with Tauks playing the byeround next week, but I can make this trade by only 2k at the moment, so if Tauks starts hitting 30s from shared minutes with Liu, I might not be able to make this trade later.
A bitcoin for your thoughts?
