Kept the C on Cleary which wasn't a great move, but I was changing it to JT, WOW!

How many more points did you expect Cleary was going to get over Smith?

Last week Cleary outscored Smith by 19 points.
Week before Cleary outscored Smith by 14 points.
Playing against Newcastle with plenty of attacking points on offer it wasn't a terrible assumption to think Cleary might continue his good form.
Panthers scored 7 tries and Cleary didn't have a significant hand in any of them. In fact Cleary did not generate a single attacking stat of any kind, not even a single tackle bust. Who would have bet on that happening against teh worst defensive team in the comp.

Actually going OK again this weekend. 677 + Munster, Whitehead, Harris and Smith (c) to come.

@Milchcow
We'll see.
Personally I thought Smith was the best option for the round. Big game in Canberra tonight.

Are you saying that you knew that Cleary would score poorly? Look at his previous scores, it would be fair to predict him to of scored 70+ this week

One could argue not. It seems like everyone expects somebody to score so well just because they are vsing the Knights. We have seen week after week this isn't the case. Not saying it wasn't possible, but quite a few people seem to think "Oh player X is playing the Knights this week, should easily score 100"

It totally does happen.
I don't have fantasy scoring stats handy to this level of detail, but in DraftStars scoring (which is every similar to Fantasy scoring)
The average score of a fantasy player is 35.04 points.
The average score of a fantasy player playing against Newcastle is 38.62 points.
Breaking it down by position, halfback is one of the least effected by this phenomenom, but there is a noticable scoring boost when you get to play against the Knights

I'm thinking Dugan.Chewie wrote:Hayne or Dugan to replace Teddy?
However, if you have someone like Aitken in your centres, he could be switched to fullback.
Manu Ma'u played his 4th game at centre this round and should get DPP status this week.
Worth considering. I'll probably still go for Dugan though.

There was talk on Renegades yesterday that the Storm pulled the hooker and half from reserve grade before the game, prompting speculation that Smith and/or Cronk could be rested tonight.
Anyone have any late Mail on this?

Well its true that Ben Hampton didn't play for Falcons and Brodie Croft and Slade Griffin did not play for the Tigers, despite being originally named

I wonder how many people who have Smith didn't (vc) or (c) him. Will be annoyed if he doesn't play tonight. Why not rest him for the week instead and not name him...

Would it really matter that much if Smith didn't play though. I mean everyone has him and so everyone will cop an AE unless they got someone like Bateman sitting in their NPR's. If he's rested during the game and you have him as a C though then that'd be the worry

Yeah lots of talk about it, I'm guessing Bellyache is going to rob us of a good game and rest Cooper and Smith . That would mean I get Kaufusi's 7 (thanks for making it back just in time for that to happen mate! Definitely wouldn't have wanted Barnett instead).

They've had a 9 day rest and are playing a top 4 team. Next game is a 5 day turnaround and a bottom 4 team. Why you would rest now and not next week makes no sense at all.
Potentially injuries?
