I grew up in the water so I respect sharks, I don't fear them for some reason. Having seen my fair share of them you honestly can't fathom how big they are until you see them. We were just off Rottnest in a decent sized boat and a Great White popped up next to us, it would have been around 4 metres long I reckon. Absolutely massive. Also this summer I've been in the water twice when they've closed the beaches due to a Tiger Shark in the area (I didnt know the beach was closed) Spiders are nothing, they're not aggressive and I thnk every Aussie bangs their shoes together before putting them on out of habit. Crocs aren't around where I live but they would scare the shit out of me, they just hate anything around them and would attack for the sake of it. Snakes scare me a little bit, mainly because of my dog. I've seen quite a few danger noodles in the dunes at the beach so it scares me that my dog will run off and try and play with it thinking it's a chew toy.

I hate rats. They run too fast and they're too big to kill with a shoe.

My daughter used to live in Brisbane & one day she saw a huntsman spider in the shower so she sprayed it with fly spray & the damn thing chased her. It sounded hilarious when she told me but she didn't think it was too funny lol.

What's the Dragons backline likely to be this year? Is Milne going to get a CTR spot? Dugan FLB or CTR?

Vaughan stands out on that list & Fonua-Blake has the most potential for 2017. The only thing that could be a problem for Vaughan is all the middle forwards at the Dragons but if he inherits Cooper's minutes he should progress to gun status. As I mentioned earlier Fonua-Blake is having a very good pre season from reports & if he gets 45+mins he'll do very well. With Prior it should be noted if Segeyaro signs then there will be an extra forward on the bench thereby reducing his minutes. Also at the back end of 2016 when Tagataese was injured Prior inherited the bulk of his minutes which increased his scores. D. Saifiti, Gurgess & J. Wallace are a wait & see for me.

Hahaha classic. When I lived in Brisbane there was a Huntsman in the corner of the door in the crease - I was hungover as fuck and just wanted to sleep. So I threw my thong at it in anger and it killed it. To this day it's probably the best throw I've ever done, the chances of doing it again are very low. I didn't even bother picking it up I was that hungover when I woke up the ants had taken most of it and were dragging it away - I rewarded their behaviour by still not picking it up, they earned it.

How many genuine guns is everyone looking to start with?
When I say genuine I mean they are priced as a gun and have proven it time and time again.

    I'll have a crack:
Dugan, MacDonald, Aitken, Milne, Nightingale, Widdop, K. Mann (McCrone bench utility)

A lot of people hoping Duffy will get the f/b gig with Dugan to ctr so maybe Milne/MacDonald on wing. Dugan can't/won't pass the ball & isn't really a link f/b & he's only provided 3 try assists in the last 2 years.

Also I'm playing supercoach this year & I heard the cash prize for first place can only be claimed by Australian residents. Is this true & if so what prize do non-residents get if they win it.

I've lived in Aus for almost 4 years and I've never seen a shark, snake or croc in the wild.
Seen spiders but mostly in the house.

Had a manta ray chasing me on Saturday though, that had the heart going a bit.

Worst thing about the rows is their Aussie accent. Real twang as opposed to English crows.

Only thing I am legit scared of in the wild is Wombats. Those things will fuck you up.

You live in Melbourne right Filth? Come up to glorious Queensland and you'll come across the others a bit more frequently. Snakes especially, they're everywhere at the moment. Irukandji are what I'm most wary of at the moment (mostly concerned about the kids when their in the water, but I'm not real keen to get stung by one either) - there's been more reports of them around my area this year than in the past.

That's kinda how we see possums in NZ. They are feral unlike your cute ones in Aus.
Much bigger than rats though and bloody hard to kill without a gun.

Yeah it sounds like they're drifting further South each year. Fucking climate change! Won't be able to swim anywhere in 10 years time.

Loved my time in Townsville and around... and I lied.. I have seen a snake in the wild. Couple of metres long just lying on the road on the way to the big falls north of Townsville (recommend, amazing viewing). We drove straight past that thing at speed. No thanks.

Those fucking dino-geese are horrible things too. So bloody aggressive! I swear they see me and immediately want to kill me unlike humans who take a week or two to figure that out.

I've seen NRL.com and Fox have the same 1-5, Lafai would have been a shoe-in 12 months ago but seems on the outer these day.

    Back to fantasy talk?

Comparing RTS wing vs Holmes wing gives a pretty good showing of what to expect
stats are per game for easy comparison
RTS 2014 vs Holmes 2015 vs Holmes 2016:
    Average: 36.3 vs 29.5 vs 31.7
    Tackles: 2.6 vs 2.9 vs 3.5
    Metres: 144.78 vs 127.09 vs 131.35
    Tries+try assists: 0.53 vs 0.73 vs 0.86
    Linebreaks+ linebreak assists: 0.82 vs 0.6 vs 0.91
    Tackle breaks: 3.69 vs 2.34 vs 2.52

The stats seem to suggest that Holmes was way more reliant on attacking stats to reach his average, while this may suggest he has a nose for the try line it is not reliable production. RTS average was heavily based on base stats so when the increase in attacking stats came he reached gun status

It's a T-Rexish fall from grace. Can't believe how strong Lafai was in 2014, then you get what he has produced the last couple of seasons.

Problem with this MS is RTS spent time at fullback, switching with Mini during periods no one has minutes for, probably giving him more run metres and tackle breaks

I'm hoping bird gets the fullback gig as he would be up there with tedesco and Munster. Just dnt see Holmes averaging much more than 40. Then capewell may be able to take the centre spot

Didn't he run into some trouble with the law once or twice? Could have his issues like many in league...
