No Smith, T Sims, might pick him up.
Will be a leader in that pack surely.
Edit: I'm guessing 35-38?
Who's this ducker... I thought you meant Brett Finch was back for Souths or something

I was high on Vaughan all offseason but then I've joined here and seen quite a bit of anti-Vaughan posts.

I like Vaughan but his price is too awkward at best he makes 50k albeit very slowly. Personally save money and get gurgess or spend a little bit more and get a proven gun.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
Sam Burgess just left my team for the first time, and in comes Paul Gallen.
Surgess's best asset was his byes, but Gallen plays the first 2 big byes himself, and without the distraction of origin, I think he can score consistently well all year.
Also, I just don't see the Tommy Turbo love. I get that he is a great player - but so was Brett Stewart in his prime and he never racked up fantasy points.
I guess its hard to assess the impact of the ankle injury on his performance so its hard to say how he'll go now if he is fully fit.

There was an article on NRL.com or fox about a week ago where he was quoted as saying the ankle injury never affected his performance because he was needled up, only his recovery and training was affected by it. Could not be bothered looking for the link but I'm sure others would have seen it as I read it on a fairly common website.Milchcow wrote:Sam Burgess just left my team for the first time, and in comes Paul Gallen.

He may think it didn't impact his performance, but the only reason everyone knew he was carrying an injury was because of the way he hobbled about. He could barely walk and was in obvious discomfort. He still tried hard but surely if impacted his performance more than he seems to think.

Yeah fair point. Guess im slightly blinded by the fact I rate him, and I'm not separating Fantasy + real world playing ability. I have seen him offload, break the line and bust through tackles though. Can score tries too.

There's a difference in Tturbo to Stewart, Turbo will bust tackles and is willing to hit the line hard or do the tough yards. He also has a bit of that sideways crab run in him that can earn 10 points for nothing.
If he plays FB all year I think he acts 150+m straight up, gets 75 tbs then add in the tries and line breaks, I see him moving up to the edge of the top gun fbs

I really couldn't care less but if anyone knows its himself and after all he has played for many years and is in a position to be able to judge himself. He knows his own body better then you, me or anyone else. I guess we'll find out after a few roundszorasdomain wrote:

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
Finally have a team together this year. Now just waiting on TLT.
McInnes Brailey
James (c) Gurgess Lawerence 138k
ET Smat Kbrom McGuire 138k 138k
Norman Lamb Taylor Elgey
Hurrell Idris 138k 138k
Teddy Hayne Rts 138k 138k
I don't like starting without smith but can change McInnes and teddy for smith and Holmes. I will probably be switching between those up until lockout.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
Been running with J Graham (with him in I had look at Sironen's face all day long !) in almost all my draught teams but if I can take him out I have can put something like this out.
C.Smith(C) J. Brailey
D.Saifiti, G. Burgess, ESE, Spina/Similar
Surgess, J. McGuire, Barnett/Burher(?) SMat, J Wallace, ET
C. Norman Lamb, Elgey, Field
Talakai, Idris, Cotric, Rennings
TTurbo, RTS, Hayne, Phythian, Fogerty/Nuff
Feel its balanced for the most part apart from weak front row and centres. If D.Saifiti and G. Burgess can't bank 40ish I might be in a bit of poo unless someone becomes dreamteam gold overnight. Elgey and Brailey fight over 4th ressy and while both earning cash for upgrades coming into the buy rounds.
I like it but just a bit worried without J Graham or similar front row gun.
Thoughts ?

Picked the wrong week to get the snip - a week later and I could have had a guilt-free weekend of sitting on the couch watching footy
