    Hey guys
We've got a draft league we've been running for 5 years. We had planned to do it at 7pm tonight but may need to cancel as we're one person short.

It's on supercoach tonight at 7pm. 20 dollar 8 person comp.

Would anyone be interested? Draft should take around 2 hours.

I know French has poor base stats & relies on attacking stats mainly tries but I like him as a pick. He's bulked up in 2017 without losing his speed so he can handle the physicality & the poor base stats were because he was playing on the wing. The reason I like him is because he always seems to be in the right place at the right time & of course the blistering speed helps. On thing stats don't factor in is intuition & smarts.

It's really a French vs Holmes thing if I go with that price point and I can't really make a case for one over the other

I wasn't a fan of Hess prior to the Fensom signing as Cooper and Lowe play 80 minutes and Taumalolo runs about 60 minutes. I just don't think there would be enough minutes for Hess to improve in an already stacked backline. Unless Taumalolo moved towards the FRF for a game there most likely wont be enough minutes. He has some decent attacking stats, but his baseline stats tackles/run meters aren't high enough to make him a viable pick if he only gets 40 minutes. If you think he could make 50 minutes a game he could achievable bump by 5-10 points based on what he is priced at. However it is just a significant amount to invest in as someone who would be a cashcow essentially. Because he won't make enough minutes to be an out and out gun. Oh and that is before taking Fensom into account.

In the exact same situation. For mine it looks like French has more potential but more risk as well. He is who I have penciled in at the moment.

serious answer. I turned up 48 minutes late for mine and it was all over already

Anyone keen for an intensive 5 minute-pick ultimate draft?

Be so much more interesting with all the cash cows available.

For of Six teams could be great!

They are both quite similar in that they both had poor base stats on the wing in 2016 & will move to f/b in 2017 so who knows who'll go better. Holmes great chance of origin & French no chance so I would go with French. I've now stacked my forward pack so atm I have downgraded T-Trbo to French.

Hess getting 50-55 mins would work like this. Taumalolo plays the first 25-30 mins. When subbed Lowe moves to lock & Hess onto right edge & plays the game out. When Taumalolo comes back on in the 2nd half in the 60-65 min mark it's a direct swap with Lowe who goes to the bench. But if Fensom is named on the bench it scutters the Hess theory cause Lowe would remain on the edge & Hess will get probably only 40 mins if lucky. I'm not sure what will happen until tlt because the Cowboys have stated their desire to give Hess a larger role in 2017.

In a choice between SJ and Tedesco, which would you prefer?

SJ. Tedesco being a f/b will have less consistent scores than SJ even though Tedesco can go boom.

I'm not too confident TLT will help resolve the positional doubts and I reckon Greeny will name Fensom somewhere in the 21 and decide what to do with Fensom closer to game day and by then it will be too late for us. I hope I'm wrong because I definitely want to see whats happening, Hess is on my short-list

I reckon Mitchell Pearce is in for a huge year, I've had him in my team since day dot and I've just dropped him for SJ but I'm really not convinced at this stage. I really like the idea of Pearce in my side.

How was DCE's numbers outside of Foran? Better or worse? I can see SJ being able to drift and pick his spots better with someone organising the squad for him
