Biggest dilemma this week is probably just who I'll put my R's on. Felise, Whitehead, Sione, CHN and Hampton would be my options. Guess I'd leave Hampton out until I know what his scoring is like and I'll just reserve him anyway if Sione is out with concussion.

Interesting week that's for sure. Even if Farah doesn't play he probably won't miss much game-time so Cook's a no go. Hampton looks a tempting option and well hopefully Frawley's a late inclusion but wouldn't be holding out hope.

I've always been a fan of Hampton from his days at the Storm. He has great ability & speed & can see him easily scoring 50 at hooker since there's no hooker on the bench & he'll get big minutes. The only negative is the length of time Granville will be out. If it's 6 weeks it gtg but if it's only say 3 weeks I don't know & also if you trade him in then later in the season you may be stuck with him as an a.e.

If desperate give Hampton a try
I have to cash in on two cows but there aren't any cheap options. I was hoping on doing Elgey to Frawley as one but he might not get another game.
Then they leaves the likes of Sironen, Felise and Suli but I can't see any good 2RF options

I'm still thinking about squeezing the last few $$$ than swapping the Seggie.

Depends, as a cash out then there is no point waiting as you lose potentially a lot more $$ waiting.

Same here - not going to rush whilst he's starting, anything could happen with injuries etc. Give it another spin

He's only ever played half in the past at the Storm when filling in for Cronk when he was playing S.O.O. This year is the first time he's played hooker.

Yeah, thought he looked pretty good with some of his Storm opportunities.
My cautious side says to hold Brailey, but a trade to Hampton netts 130k. He will probably out score Brailey for the next month as well. He's a chance to average 35 plus.
The risk is Ponga being a 1 week utility to cover Coote, then a bench hooker turns up next week.

Yeah I have Field so I could just bring Hampton in for Field & leave Brailey for the week.

Yeah I was thinking about that too.
Could do something like this.
Instead of trading out Elgey (17 BE) this week, move my DPP Fogerty back to WFB and cash out Suli.
Then Hampton can have as long as he wants making cash and when he is finished Fogerty can cash him out.
Will have to see what works, interesting TLT

Yates downgrade? Or do you have a DPP 2rf/Frf ?
For me Papalii is a sore spot, not hurting me with AE but probably miles away from first grade at the moment.
So could be an option to swap for someone who at least earns or plays the big byes
Thing with Crichton, without that big run where he slapped off a few players (got like 7 Tb's) he would have scored terrible.
I can see him making some coin, but how much....He is at the awkward price to bring in now.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 27
Well, do I feel stupid for not bringing in CHN last week
With no Cartwright or Fisher-Harris on even the extended bench, and CHN still having negative BE and the chance to make $50K again this week, I think I'll need to just shrug it off and move into him now. I'll take some time to think about them but looking at going Suli -> CHN via SMat and using Hampton as a cash out for Elgey, leaving a bank of $217K for the upgrade-Brailey fund next week.
Damn I wish I'd made that Suli -> CHN trade last week...

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 27
Quite honestly if I was Newcastle I would rest Sione for the rest of the year.
He's had far too many concussion assessments and it's becoming a problem for him. That's enough for mine. Take the year off, rest up. Let's focus on his health rather than getting him back onto the park. It's not a story that ends well if he keeps playing on.

Don't want a Paul Carter candidate

....and I'm thinking of going the other way and doing a straight swap for Elgey and have Hampton as my 4th Half (so to speak), like you say - interesting TLT - especially with Hampton being DPP

You still did the right thing so I wouldn't beat yourself up. There was every indication that 1 of them if not both would return this week. You're just unlucky.
