    He was named on the bench last week too but then started. It's a tough one though because Souths play before the Cowboys & you won't know if Hess actually starts.

    According to my notes Hess' 2 scores when 'starting' on the bench this year were 42 & 74

    Hampton ownership at 20%! Is that all following TLT today or was he a popular auto fill in casual teams?

    DCE said on Sterlo that they changed the game plan to get their edge back rowers in the game more. Said they are both 6Ft tall and 110kg, and they thought they (the 2nd rowers) weren't getting the ball they thought they deserved.

    Probably no coincidence that Sironens score has been good the last two weeks then.

    As far as the curse is concerned, you should trade out Hess and find someone else other than Surgess. Trade in Whitehead and bank some cash.
    (this would de-curse Hess and Surgess in my team)

    It's probably a good trade. Works for buy rounds. I just think Hess as some more to offer. Maybe not more than Surgess though?

    i'm looking for a gun half to go next to norman and dont want to stretch to SJ if i can avoid it.

    Pearce is hands down the best option for no.7 for NSW. Moylan and Maloney to fight out for the 6 jersey. Moylan could be utility on bench.

    A Reynolds next in line but Pearce is outplaying him and he won't be there unless Pearce is injured or does something with a dog.

    Siro was outstanding last week, still doesn't move much from his defensive channel but his running was direct and full of intent, constantly carrying defenders for and extra 5-10m after contact

    My team just looks so much stronger with JDB, Mannering, Surgess and ET though.

    Ben Hampton has never started at hooker in the NRL

    The best I can find is round 15 2016, when he came off the bench to replace Slade Griffin, and scored 25 points in 35 minutes.
    That included a crazy 4 penalties conceded.

    He played mostly off the bench for the Storm last year, and in general his workload was pretty rubbish, so I am a bit dubious. But if he keeps starting hooker for 3-6 weeks replacing Granville then probably some value there.

    I won't be ditching Smith/McInnes for him though

    He was a cheap half with a safe first grade position. If you didn't want Ryley Jacks/Jai Field he had some potential as a 4th half to start the year.

    Won't make bulk cash at that rate.. Especially if he doesn't play the full 80

    This.
    If you were considering Hampton surely you'd want to have a look how he goes this week first. Trouble with Hampton if he does turn out to be a flop you're stuck with a bad a/e rather than a red dot. Unless you use another trade on trading him out

    I'm treating him purely as a cash out for Elgey that might get a game during byes to replace Thurston/Morgan. Anything else is a bonus

    Im using Hampton as a cashout option to upgrade my second last problem spot which is my other starting CTR. Suli and Lamb have both peaked so its time for them to go.

    Lamb --> Hampton
    Suli --> Aubbs

    In the future I can cash out Brailey and move Hampton up for another gun HLF then watch the rest of the cows get fat.

    Backline is now:

    TTurbo, Aubbs (Kelly, Talakai)
    Tedesco, Slater, RTS (Ponga, Abbey)

    This needs to be considered.

    When Granville comes back you'll have to trade Hampton out fairly quickly, otherwise he will both lose any cash he's made, and hang around being an AE risk for the run home.

    Why not the rest of the season?

    He's actually not a bad player. Quite big too

    Another game from Ponga would be handy. Still has a -9 BE.

    What about Frawley? Not named for NSW cup so there is still hope he will get the nod at 7
