I'm thinking about doing it for Yates if dropped or even Winterstein. Seems like a wasted trade but so much temptation.

That was my reason for staying clear of him last week was his shelf life so 50k for 2 trades seemed silly. If I brought him in this week it would be for Talakai or Suli. I'm sure there will be other guys that come in at base price, but not sure if Fanhub will let this happen again.Bullbender wrote:@Liverpool_Bulldog The TPG dilemma is doing my head in. I could of got him last week but only saw the short shelf life with JFH in the 21 so went Cordner to Burgess instead. Opting for a round 12 keeper at the time. Watching him last week again and his first effort was no flash in the pan. He looks the real deal and is bound to get more game time even with the other 2 back as the season is still young. My problem is i have a pretty stacked backrow and thats where all the bargains are coming up. I would have to get rid of Hess or Gillette for him. Hess playing tigers running at one of the halves this week plus has a nice run short term and Gillette plays 5 of next 6 at home. No DPPs so im screwed. No one else i can punt. At the moment im leaning towards holding out as ive missed the first cash grab and points so buying him only puts me further behind those that already have if i sell Hess or Gillette. If you are selling a semi ripe cow for him I would go for it. I am just going to wait for the next fanhub fuckup and jump on that for cash, i just hope the next one is as good as this guy because he looks the real deal

Cook, Hampton and Edwards are traps in my opinion.
(The Farah/Leary/Hiku factor)
Holding Yates, SMat and Brailey until better options arise.
Will be bringing in the likes of Whitehead, JBrom and Leilua when they string together a couple of good scores.

Meanwhile the Warriors remain optimistic about the chances of second-rower Bodene Thompson taking the field this Sunday at Mount Smart Stadium, after he sat out the whole second half of last week's match due to Achilles tendonitis.
On Wednesday Thompson, along with Kieran Foran and Shaun Johnson, was restricted to reduced training drills, although all three appeared to be moving comfortably.

Cheers for the update, i traded him in last week and need a good score to repay the faith.

You missed the boat, hold the dud in your NPR's until something better comes along. When in doubt, hold out!Scouter wrote:I am stubborn, i refused to trade in CHN last week due to questionable job security. And yet again due to silly circumstances hes managed to get a starting spot.
Looking at my squad the only person id consider swapping for him is Paufusi who is actually a bit of a dud it seems, but a dud who will play for the rest of the year and a good chance to start.
Worth it or not? Its only a 27k cash grab and it seems a waste if CHN goes back to the bench next week but i don't want to miss out again

Which player should I leave out of the 17? Siro, Hess, KBrom, FKafusi, or CHN?

KBrom for me.
Siro seems to have upped his scores, CHN scoring well, Hess should score well... so between Faufusi and KBrom and Faufusi has out-averaged him so far.
Also, Storm play last so if anyone else in your 17 doesn't play, you can switch and put the R on KBrom.
OnTheLast wrote:Surely there's still time to make bank with CHN? CHN can go on to be a 300k+ player if he goes good again this week and his b/e stays low, he then would only need to play maybe two more times, even limited minutes from a bench role and he will get to 300k. And I think the coaches will want him to be a part of the team with the way he's playing.
Also I take into consideration my 25-35 point a game middlers like Hoare, Stone, Yates, Tetevano who are likely to take twice as long to accumulate that sort of cash if and when they get game time.
I still think there's sanity in boarding the train to CHiNa
If this was my option i would do it. Paufusi is not a round 12 player and expendable. TPG looks the goods, one injury and he gets another run. Its a long season. Technically you missed nothing 1 week late as he would of had that rise his first game instead of second(glass half full). I think theres still plenty of cash left in him. Hell im still considering Gillette or Hess for him.Scouter wrote:I am stubborn, i refused to trade in CHN last week due to questionable job security. Hampton is screaming trap so very loudly. I can't see him averaging much more than mid 20s, unless he flukes some big attacking stats
But I'm wondering if it will be worth the cash grab from Elgey. Because, let's face it he won't be screaming up in value.
Will make it easier to bring in Whitehead/JBrom etc in coming weeks.
