Can't believe a couple of the others claiming Niko is a better defender than Hunt. Niko has certainly improved....but that is still crazy talk.

Hunt has a great technique and will be fine when (as you've suggested) he's tackling blokes in the middle of the park as opposed to when they have a bit more space.

As I said in the Broncos thread, rather than this injury to the FAC being a complete negative, Bennett is the best in the business at making the best out of a bad situation and potentially a new hooker will freshen up our attack, as quite frankly it has been a bit predictable of late.

yeah i'm actually quite excited to see how this pans out. If Hunt can bring his running game from hooker then it could change our attack for the better.

Might not be a bad thing fantasy wise having a discounted Ben Hunt with DPP at the beginning of next season

This time of year gets a bit of a drag and slow unfortunately, teams mostly setup, lack of trades to ponder over.

Anyway, anything need to be done here lads;

3 trades and 23K. I'm spewing up stuffed my DPP as I'd love to get Cotric/Turbo down in WFB and run all three of my centres as I have 4 solid bench forwards. Getting Dufty last week screwed this up.

Only thing I'm thinking is perhaps Surgess to Papa/LAM for a POD if he doesn't play. Might do it anyway.

Is RTS>Teddy a luxury trade?

Id upgrade Scott to Teddy and get Turbo into your centres. If the Titans keep Hayne at centre that is not ideal for his scoring.

But then again havnt been keeping up with RTS scores, so i guess either is an option

Yeah if Elgey is playing he will get the 5/8 spot and tyrone roberts will move into the fullback position so hayne will play centre.

I don't see Hayne staying at centre after last week. He'll get his way and play fullback the rest of the season.

Depends on how your league looks i guess. If surgess is rested you'd think he would be right next week (he must have been close last weekend with only a week) so only need to trade him if you definitely need the points to win your h2h game. Plus he scores about the same as papa and ah mau when fit. With everyone dropping like flies i'd try to keep 3 trades for a couple more weeks.

Personally i'm looking at LAM over papa.

I'd do it. I'd play Scott over Hayne personally too. Even upgrade Hayne. Him or RTS, I'd probably still hang onto Scott.

Cheers mate, you're probably right, just got the itchy trade finger again.  I can play Croker over Surgess anyway.  Don't need the win in a H2H league sitting comfortable second and can't go up or down with a single win so that's no issue.

And yeah, after looking at Papa's last few scores, LAM is looking the better option. Dragons need wins so I think him, Vaughn, JDB will all benefit, don't think minutes will be an issue over the next 5 weeks.

The only player I don't really like in your squad is Walker. So unless you can do something of an upgrade with him then I'd just leave the team as is and save the trades for now

Thanks bro. Yeah, Walker is pissing me off and I'm just going to swap him and Lolohea this week and play him instead. Don't have the cash to upgrade to anyone worthwhile without using two trades so I'll leave it. Looking at Nofo for a sneaky POD, but wanted to see a bit more from him last weekend.
