So with them winning 1-0, we would have needed a 3 goal win to progress automatically.

Now we play Syria, then either Honduras/Panama/USA

Assuming its not USA, we should progress through that comfortably?

USA are shot ducks, id rather play them over Honduras, who is beating them at the moment.

Sure - but if they have 2 months to prep for the matches, I think theyd be pretty confident heading into it. They are in reasonably good form aren't they?

US currently losing to Honduras. If that result stands, and Panama win later today, then US will be in 5th spot with 2 games left. (top 3 qualify automatically, 4th gets play off spot)

They have an easier run in than Panama or Honduras. And even if they are in a rut right now, I'd rather avoid them if we could

Also, Honduras and Panama are both better than the teams we've been falling to beat in Asia, so nothing can be taken for granted
