It needs to be looked at, horrible rule.

It's a dud call but you've losing to the Dogs as well indicates you've got bigger problems then losing out on some 50/50 calls.Mighty Fishes wrote:Every team gets calls every week every game not just us. But thats not the rule MF? Its a shit rule, I agree, but I can see why its there and why he didnt play advantage.
I mean, the lodge try ... that was a textbook obstruction. He ran at the defenders outside shoulder and ran straight into him - and the try was awarded. 8 pt try too... yep ok fair enough. That shit never gets called but yeah ok its fair.
The roberts try... I mean.. at first look it clearly looked like he knocked it into the defender. That was a contentious one.
It was a great game because of how close it was and was good to see JT get one up on the broncos again. It wasnt as good as some of their other cames but fark, it was highly entertaining.
The side needs to trade Milf or Nikorima for a halfback. Badly. Or they should try Boyd at 7 - surely he can control a game at this stage in his career.

Foran?
I know hes not a good defender but what about the fella from the titans that isnt getting a run any more.. he looked pretty good without Taylor there
Luke Brooks is going to be on the market soon do you mean?Pieman wrote:Looks brooks might be on the market soon?

None of these will get us close to a premiership. Brooks is just a slightly better version of Nikorima.
Elgey is a spud.

You can't really blame anyone for this. Injury can happen to anyone.
I agree that Bird was a bad buy. At no stage did it feel like a good move, it doesn't seem like he will ever fit in with our side. I don't know where he is supposed to play. He might be a decent six, if he moves to a team that has a dominant 7, but that is never going to work at the broncos with our current squad.
Boyd is a terrible captain. Does not show any sort of leadership. I really hope he calls time on his career at the end of this season. Whether its body or mind, he just doesn't have the commitment anymore, and it infects the rest of the team.
We haven't had a strong leader since Lockyer and its been a constant, underlying issue.
I think Milfords best position is 6, but fuck he needs some help. He can be a great player but I'm yet to believe he can be a true leader. Storm can get away with throwing two ball runners into the halves because they have Smith and Slater. We have "cant pass macca" and "wheelchair boyd".
FWIW I really don't care about the no try/penalty. We got calls, they got calls. The penalty was before the play the ball. I'm fine with it. The biggest issue is that we were 12 points up in that game and let it go through poor displicine, attitude, and effort.
