Karl Lawton averaging 23.4 fantasy points per game :/ Not the hottest prospect (except for his magnificent goatee). Probably a minutes thing which is an issue if him and Tevaga share hooking minutes next week.

JFH feels like Wallace from last year; capable of good scores and was underpriced but I feel like I'm really going to hunger for him to be out of my team towards the tail end of the season.

He's more of a decent backup option rather than your starting. Players who don't have strong props will see the best use for him. Outside of Taupau and Fifita, specialist props haven't been scoring much over 45; JFH has averaged 47.2 in the last 5 games. If I had him I'd be happy

Look at Lawton's past stats as starting hooker. He has good history
It's his Aubbs like versatility that makes him a worry

really not a fan of having no-one in the last game of the round, i vote we just give the eels and tigers players their average in points and end lock-out early so i can make with the trade rage

Hey Finchy, as you are such a fine upstanding individual, I thought I should make it clear to you that nrlfantasy.com.au is a site that goes against the conditions of the NRL Fantasy game (as are my spreadsheets)
Also, entering the Autofill league as well as the main competition is also against the comp T&Cs.
I know you hate cheaters, so I hope you refrain from using such dirty tactics in future.
Changing the order of your ranked substitutes during a round, is completely legal (though of course, not mandatory)
haha Finchy getting owned by the cow.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2018 thread part 36
trades this week.
Lodge(20) to Matterson (58)
Griffin(60) to Fifita (47)
Playing Havili (72) in my 17 saved my score but still way off the mark I feel.
780 with Thompson to play. Overall ranking as of now 8933. (we cant all be winners)

821 all done. Well below par but I'm more worried about next week. Surgess, Brown still in doubt, Croker, Gosi, Kennar, Sorenson, Dugan and no guarantee Arrow backs up either with his back. There's a very real possibility that I won't even be able to field 17.

Can win one of my H2H battle of the second position with a Thompson 37.
very close to avg for Thompson so should keep me interested in the last game.

Strange about Milne to the mounties, the Raiders seem to have one of the most set backlines. There are those rumours about Leilua being shopped around, and i guess an inpending court date for Wighton. You would still think hed try to crack a weaker squad. But you never know what goes on behind the scenes, probably very few clubs interested in throwing him a lifeline.

Yeah, my concern is he was used as a bench hooker/shared minutes last year at the Titans, and Tevaga always played as a hooker until this year. So I'm expecting them to share the minutes which would put me off bringing him in. If he got the 80 min then yes, I'd bring him in.

I also remember wishing I had Lawton during his Titans stint (until he got injured). Centre is tricky and a reliable tackle base would be a god send, even if its just a dependable 30 for the next month or so.
Anyone know how many minutes he was getting for his good scores at the Gold Coast?

Why are people so down on sorensen? He started and would of played 80 if not for a late head knock, and scored pretty much as expected of him in that time. Should be fine to go next week, and bukuya didnt take the other edge position when graham was ruled out. Which leads me to believe sorensen will be good for another 3 or 4 weeks of starting until lewis returns

Mostly because Capewell played well so the risk is there that Capewell will be the one selected. Also Sorensen played on Graham's edge and Capewell played in Lewis's position, though that probably doesn't mean a lot. I think the battle for the position is pretty equal between the two, and Sorensen was just being rewarded for his good game last week.
Just have to wait and see which one is named next week.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2018 thread part 36
Going to look at my backs for the first time this season next week, trade wise. If Lawton is named Warriors 9 and only Tevaga on the bench, I might downgrade from Dufty, moving Hiku to wing. I have Holmes as a back up, hopefully will go to fullback and give me an extra option if he starts getting more involved..
Lawton will need at least 4 weeks to be worth it though, I already have Rein, Maloney and TPJ (?) who are all upgrade/cash out probables in the next month or so. As a Warriors man I'd prefer Luke to be out for less of course.
Rapana has bottomed out, so another option. Intrigued about the Manly injuries too, should be some Cows coming guys!
