Wow what an upset thought, 11 debutants and they manage to pull game one out of the bag, simply massive effort, has anyone with some many debutants ever won before? Unheralded performance, and to be honest I don't think they were that great. Still, a monumental mountain to overcome to win the series and I never rule Qld out.

Cleary fantastic also, not only a great tackler but a great defender!

One of the worst attacking displays from a Queensland side I've ever seen. Played good defence at stages and backed it up with complete garbage in attack. Deserved to lose.

Cleary was great in defence but seemed reserved in attack and almost tentative being targetted when kicking.

Fittler said his cool head was what was best suited for origin and that nothing phased him. Might have given away every point QLD scored but guided NSW to the win. Will retire one of the most under rated players.
11 debs with a win under their belt will be hard to beat the next game.

Indeed Dip. It's been very easy to sit back and enjoy Origin over the last decade and a half as a Queenslander.

All credit to NSW, it felt like we were just hanging in there most of the game. Cook and Cleary and Turncoat Ted showed they have the spine to go on with it.

Unlikely to be any changes to NSW side. Roberts was average but up against a fired GI, and he'll surely get another shot.

QLD... Morgan was good but Slater comes straight back in. If they're bold they go Morgan/Munster halves and Hunt hooker, but they won't.

None of the pack were noticably good (maybe Felise for a bit, Papali for a bit.) Gillett for Cooper and Matt Scott needs one decent showing for the Cowboys to come back in. Chambers was poor but that was a one off.
