Yeah looks interesting season doesn’t it. One of the more balanced and unsure that I can remember!

Jack Bird is tempting for many people to fill a torublesome centre spot, but last year he played 4 games at centre for scores of 10, 37, 16 and 21. Not very inspiring

Averaged low-mid 30s at centre for cronulla, which is where the temptation comes from, but I have a few doubts about him.

Cheap enough that he'll probably get a run for me anyway

Worth a shot at his price as he has the pedigree in previous seasons, but If push comes to shove I'll probably run a rookie starter over him like Ravalawa or Lomax if i need to shave some cash for upgrades elsehwere

Jo Ofa, when playing over 50 minutes a game, averages 51. Priced at 42, been mentioned a bit

Only issue is so many good young forwards at the donkeys

Unless some amazing sub 226k CTR/WFB emerges from the rookies and team lists, looks to me Bird like worth throwing at the back end of your bench for an extra 60-70k as centre cover. Would be very concerned if you were trotting him out in starting 13 mind

I wouldn't class starting him as concerning mate, potential for 30s at his price at seasons start i'd take every day

Nice mate we can continue to blame poor fantasy seasons on ko times Wink

Surely McGuire even though in a stacked pack can go over his last seasons average, enough to be relevant I'm not sure?

Guess I’m just so burnt from the centre position and week to week Hokey Cokey burning trades in that stupid position, that I’m these days favouring a little more substance and not needing more than one or two WFB/CTr on my shiny new bench that lets me have 7 hookers.

Currently with Holland and Capewell. Both good value and both positive out of positions

Yeah he looks an OK price to me. Don’t like that he might get some prop-like minutes at times but haven’t ruled him out. Love a DPp

McGuire has a couple of poor scores at fantasy bringing his score down a bit.

I am slightly tempted by him. His arrival puts me off Taumalolo more than anything else though.

I'd be okay with starting Bird. But as Welshy said there's no reason a Lomax etc couldn't score as well. I don't intend to spend too much there this year. I don't see McGuire getting enough minutes though.

Yeah agree with that milchcow Haven’t considered Tolo at his odds and can’t see a scenario where I’d ever start the season with him
