So Thompson denies saying what he very cleary said on camera.
"I don't think I would've said that". Pretty pathetic.
The fact that nothing has or will come of this says to me that the players are totally fine with that kind of language being thrown about.
Not good enough from Thompson and not good enough from the NRL.

Strange quotes in that article, but maybe they are being taken out of context. He tweeted after the game that he said "faker". Not sure why he wouldn't stick to this, even if it wasn't true.
Out of curiosity, I re-watched the replay a number of times, at the time, and its really hard to tell, with a mouthguard in.

If I were to trade Lomax to Havili I would need to spending 27K so Havili would need to make 27K more than Lomax by the time I trade them out (Havili would be in R16 and Lomax would be in R17). Base on my calculations, Lomax with an average of 35 would make roughly 140K by R17. As it costs me 27K to get Havili, he would need to make 167K by R16 to make the trade valid. To make 167K Havili would need to average somewhere between 49 and 52 I think. Ideally I would obviously want Havili to make more than par as everyone wants a profit so I would want Havili to average more than 52. Bear in mind this is also only accounting for Lomax’s one game at FB with a 35. Against the dogs he could post a big score, making his money growth potential greater. Havili probably has at least till R15 so a guaranteed 4 weeks, Lomax could be back to CTR/Wing next week. Then there are also the points I would be getting from Havili for R12, who would then become a R16 player, which would add to that.
Pretty much;
Havili
45 x 4 = 180 (traded out in R16)
+ 150K
+ whatever R16 player he becomes
- 27K
- 1 trade
VERSUS
Lomax
35 x 4 (traded out in R17) = 140
+ 140K
+27K
+ 1 trade
It is super tight but I think Havili wins that battle as I would get a R12 and 16 player and probably higher possibility of a bigger average, meaning more cash gain?

Looking at my trusty old spreadsheet, I have almost enough cash to afford my final team plus Burns as 18th man (gives WFB/CTR and HLF cover - through Ponga).
If I pull the trigger and trade Lomax and Xerri this week chasing points it'll halt my cash generation pretty significantly. Especially since I'm not leaning towards Havili. Will need late/r16 cows to find another 500k for a good 18th man (pushing Burns to 19th).

So now you’re a lip reader as well as the ruler of all things LBGTP and virtuous here.
In my opinion, I don’t care what he fucking said. Couldn’t care less. It’s a tough game, you’ve obviously never played. What happens on the field stays on the field. I’m sick of this virtue signalling shit for 1 % of the population. Harden the fuck up.
