Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 63
When I was growing up this lovely old Scottish woman cooked a lot of haggis man did that stink the street out. She was a great old lady & she always looked out for the kids & gave us lollies. My mate down the road basically brought himself & his sister up because as I now realise his mum was a pro so she wasn't home much & this Scottish lady basically became their foster parent & looked after them the best she could.

Some good reading in there Luke, Filth... nice perspective put on life.
I’m going to adopt the Life/Work. Like it.
Some people work to live, others live to work.
Those that live to work are not automatically unhappy though. For some, It’s what makes them tick, to whoever was referring to creating of passion. Some people don’t care for hobbies or pastimes, they love to travel, do deals, visit conferences. I’m not one, but I do acknowledge the many C-suites around me that are.
And Luke with your emotional intelligence and self awareness, I’d like to think “ending it all” isn’t really in your vocab no matter what situation and challenge you may face. As you say, happiness is all relative

I fall into this category. Even taking my previous post into account I'm a workaholic. I can be at work 7 days a week, weeks on end if I had to. To be honest, I'd be lost if I didn't have so much work on my hands. Everyones just different really.

I got hit by a restructure at work today. Pretty stressful leading up to it. I've been offered another role which is a lower position and less $$.
I think I'll actually enjoy the new role more once the ego gets over it.

Whatever makes you happy bro! The less $$ come with less hours, or just less stress and more enjoyment?

Less stress, less video conferencing, less direct /indirect reports. Less interstate travel.
Bit more family friendly I'm hoping.
