I see the silver lining in this... Ponga had the chance to get over any niggling injuries he may have been hanging on to and will be raring to go coming up to the finals.

What does Origin have to do with it? He's had nothing to do with Origin since game 2.

Well hes not playing game 3 because of injury. There was pretty much no chance he was going to play 2 days afterwards.

Could you imagine the uproar of Ponga not playing the decider yet running out to play for the Knights 48 hours later. Was never ever going to happen.

Hoping Brown, Twal, Klemmer, Crichton can all come firing into the last third of the season! Will be grabbing one next week. Who would you pick out of the four? Or anyone around the 700K mark for that matter? Cover is no problem.

Ponga was a chance to play this week though Barry Toohey even said it. Ponga wasn't named for Origin because he has been injured so he wouldn't have been able to train with the squad properly and that's what Origin teams want, fit players who are able to train with the team every session, something Ponga wasn't able to do.

As long as Klemmer makes it through origin, I'd put him #1.
Started with Brown last year and this year and his injuries have led me to strike him off.
Crichton's benchings have me leery of him too.
Twal I'd put 2nd choice, consistent and isn't being dicked around with injuries and bench.

Which combination do you think scores more points:
(1) Watson + TTurbo + Burns + Carrigan (trades of Xerri + Mann to TTurbo + Burns)
(2) Fifita + TTurbo + Coates + Mann (trades of Xerri + Watson to Fifita + TTurbo)
(3) Fifita + Burns + Coates + Watson (trades of Xerri + Mann to Fifita + Burns)
Leaning towards (2) which was my original trades however if Coates doesn't play I'd be down to 16 (whereas in no. 3 Carrigan would come off the bench, while no. 1 doesn't require Coates in 17)

Well Teddy being rested makes the Xerri to Burns trade mandatory, as I otherwise have only 2 playing WFBs (To'o and Wighton), so that one's happening. Jazz being named is nice, so I'll be holding my trades until either Jazz or Fainu lose their minutes and then upgrade one (or both if I can afford it) to a gun FRF as well as a gun WFB if I can afford it. Would leave me with 2 trades for injuries which isn't much but them's the breaks

A. Play just 16 players this week and shelf the extra trade.
B. Trade Robson for Burns. Hope that next week I can go CNK to Munster/Hunt/Klemmer with about 8k left and one trade for the run home.

Have to go Xerri --- Burns to give me WFB cover for the round and keep CTR cover for the duration of the year. Burns not a terrible 18th man, no difference to Xerri really, maybe even an upgrade but annoying that it'll cost me a trade.
